IIW Combat – 1/13/23
-X-Plosion Recap
(featuring Mr. Intensity, Shaun Hart, & Kalvin Dayspring)
The Show comes on with a pitch black screen and slowly the logo for X-plosion 2022 flashes across the screen with the date of the event clearly seen below it. These words fade and are replaced with “The night that changed EVERYTHING,” the screen flickers and then comes into focus and we see a figure in a Black Mask on the screen as he sits behind a desk in a dark room. It appears to be direct footage from the end of X-plosion.
Unknown Speaker: Hello Shaun, I hope you’re enjoying your fun and patting yourself on your back because what I have to say is going to flip your world right on your stupid little head.
Shaun turns a little red and looks at the screen with anger.
Hart: Who in the hell do you think you are?
The Black Mask unknown speaker laughs sinisterly.
Unknown Speaker: Who I am is not important. You can just call me Mr. Intensity but what is important is to know that while the Board of Directors did grant you fifty percent ownership, they didn’t think letting you go unchecked would be a good idea. So they made a deal and appointed me as acting commissioner to help balance you out like Osh wanted. The board of directors don’t want you getting a power trip again with CCPE.
Shaun Hart makes a disgusted face and kicks at the ropes.
Hart: THEY CAN’T DO THIS TO ME!!!
Mr.Intensity: They can and have but don’t bust a blood vessel yet Shaun because I have one more announcement to make. You see The Board of Directors agreed with one thing at your last meeting. This company is growing and the roster is getting too big for just one show these days.
The fans get excited.
Mr.Intensity: So at the start of the new year there will be two brands, Monday Night Mayhem and the NEW BRAND FRIDAY NIGHT COMBAT!!!
The fans erupt with excitement and break out with a chant.
“YES! YES! YES! YES! YES!”
Mr. Intensity: Settle down followers that’s not all there is to this announcement. There will be a draft in the middle of December to separate the rosters along with the TV Championship and the Uprising Championship going to the Combat Brand!
“YES! YES! YES! YES! YES!”
The hard cam switches to the commentary team.
Fisher: What an announcement made by this mysterious individual Mr.Intensity. Two brands moving forward and a split roster as well. I wonder who will end up on which brand when the draft comes.
James: Creepy looking mask but he has dropped a bomb on us at Explosion and has left us wondering who all will be going to Combat.
The hard cam switches back to Shaun Hart.
Hart: Do not try to steal my thunder and act like this wasn’t my idea I pitched to the board. It should be me making this announcement and getting all the praise, not some creep in a mask who thinks he can run a show better than me!
The hard cam switches back to the big screen.
Mr.Intensity: Foolish Shaun, you need to get the ear wax out of your ear and listen. I said I was appointed commissioner to oversee Mayhem and Combat and make sure you don’t run away mad with power but the person that will be running Combat and giving you hell is this man Kalvin Dayspring.
“War Pigs” by Black Sabbath blast through the Arena as the fans erupt in cheers. As the bombs of the song go off and the beat slowly picks up the fans get louder and louder, at one point even drowning out the music with their cheers.
Fischer: Did he Say Kalvin Dayspring? As in former NCW World Heavyweight Champion Kalvin Dayspring?
James: Former 4 time world Champion I believe, and I think he did!
Finally we see the large figure of Kalvin Dayspring appear at the top of the ramp, in a nice-looking suit with a smirk on his face as he lifts the microphone up to him. He signals for his music to cut as he pauses a few moments just listening to the cheers of the crowd finally he speaks.
Kalvin: BARCELONA!!!
The fans cheer again as he just smiles before speaking.
Kalvin: Estas Listo para la battalla!
He shouts and gets a loud pop.
Kalvin: And for the millions at home, and the ego maniac in the ring, ARE YOU READY FOR BATTLE!
As he shouts the line the fans start to chant Combat, Combat, Combat. With the chant he slowly makes his way to the ring and enters standing across the ring from Shaun smiling the entire time as he locks with him.
Kalvin: Are you Shaun? Because I am, I was born for COMBAT, forged in the heat of battle, came to age in the midst of war. I was created for this, and tonight, IN BARCELONA!!
The Fans pop again.
Kalvin: Consider this a declaration of War, and our first battle the IceCrown Rumble because I have been informed that is when we will assemble our armies. Because don’t get it twisted, this might be what’s best for the fans, a chance to see all the great talent IIW has signed, a chance to see the best product put out twice but it is also really, really bad for you. Because when the board see’s what a real wrestling company is run like I think they might reconsider how long they make your leash.
He extends his hand and drops the mic as his music plays and he jumps on the top turnbuckle cheering as the fans chant Combat.
Hart: SHUT IT! You all may think this is the end for ole Shaun Hart but this is just another challenge in my way that I will conquer like I have to everyone else that has opposed me since being here. I back down from nobody and I can promise you Monday Night Mayhem will remain the superior brand under my watch, so I say BRING IT ON!!!
Shaun Hart tosses his microphone in the air as the fans give a mix reaction as the audience splits as they chant for Combat and Mayhem and then the hard cam switches to the screen.
Mr.Intensity : Well there you have it folks, let the games begin!
As the camera zooms out and begins to fade out and the last image we see is Shaun Hart and Kalvin Dayspring starting each other down with Mr. Intensity in the background.
-Siege Perilous
(featuring the entire Combat roster)
The scene transitions to a shot of the live arena fans all cheering, we pan the sold out audience a few seconds before the lights go dark and the view settles in the center of the ring. A few seconds of silence as the fans wait to see what is happening, eventually the familiar music of “War Pigs” by Black Sabbath is heard booming the arena as the fans cheer along it plays the intro for about a minute before a spot light shines in the middle of the ring and we see Black Sabbath themselves singing the song. The fans erupt in excitement as the group begins to sing Combats Official Theme live!
Generals gathered in their masses
Just like witches at black masses
Evil minds that plot destruction
Sorcerer of death’s construction
You can see the camera now panning the audience once again as they sing along, almost every member of the audience can be heard singing along or swaying with the beat as the group continues.
In the fields, the bodies burning
As the war machine keeps turning
Death and hatred to mankind
Poisoning their brainwashed minds
Oh lord, yeah!
As the beat picks up pyro begins to explode at the top of the ramp and after a few seconds we see Kalvin Dayspring standing watching the live performance from the top of the ramp.
Politicians hide themselves away
They only started the war
Why should they go out to fight?
They leave that role to the poor, yeah
As they begin to sing again he slowly makes his way down the ramp giving the fans hand shakes, kissing babies and even taking a few selfies. Making sure to stop and thank every fan he possibly can as the song continues in the center of the ring.
Time will tell on their power minds
Making war just for fun
Treating people just like pawns in chess
Wait till their judgment day comes, yeah!
Now in darkness, world stops turning
Ashes where their bodies burning
No more war pigs have the power
Hand of God has struck the hour
Dayspring makes his way up the steps and stands on the apron singing along with the song as he waits for the song to finish. The entire time he is waving and acknowledging the fans around ringside. He motions for someone at ring side to hand him a mic.
Day of judgment, God is calling
On their knees, the war pigs crawling
Begging mercy for their sins
Satan laughing, spreads his wings
Oh lord, yeah!
As Black Sabbath finishes up the lights return to normal the fans let out another crazy loud cheer as Kalvin finally speaks.
Kalvin: Hampton Virginia lets give it up for BLACK SABBATH!!
The fans continue to cheer as Kalvin enters the ring and shakes hands with everyone as they exit. After a few minutes the crowd dies down, you can see the large smile across Dayspring’s face as he starts to speak.
Kalvin: So to the thousands here in Hampton and the millions at home, let’s make this official, WELCOME TO COMBAT!
The fans chant “Combat, Combat, Combat”
Kalvin: Let’s just address the elephant in the room shall we? Friday the 13th, what a hell of a day to start a show am I right? But none of that matters because you guys have no idea how long I have waited for this chance. How long I have been itching to be back in this ring, in front of a crowd like you. And let’s be honest, as nice as X-Plosion was, having to share the ring with a rat like Shaun Hart kind of soured it a bit..
The fans begin a chant “Shaun Sucks” and Kalvin motions for them to calm down a bit as he speaks.
Kalvin: Look I got to just get a few things out of the way before we get started. First, as Nice as this is, and as great as you guys are, I don’t want you to think I am going to be seen a lot. No, I took this job to sit in the back, and work my ass off to give each and everyone of you the best possible show I can each week. I want to book the matches you want, I plan to make sure that the guys in the locker room who bust their asses are given the chances they deserve. So no, I will not be Shaun Hart. I will not play politics in the back, pushing the guys who kiss my ass and taking the entire spotlight myself week in and week out.
The fans cheer and he nods as he continues.
Kalvin: Now I am not pretending to be a saint, I do plan to get a sick joy each and every week when I beat Shaun’s ass in the ratings. But honestly my time in the spotlight ended almost a decade ago, I want to be seen as little and far between as possible. I know that you fans don’t care about me, no I know what you guys came to see are the stars, THE COMBATANTS that we have on our roster. The young, hungry lions that were being held down week in, and week out by the backstage politics of Shaun Hart. So let’s go ahead, bring them out. Come on guys, I want the whole roster. Let’s go, the fans want to see you!
It takes a few seconds but slowly, one by one at first, then two by two and slowly in groups of 3 or 4 the Combatants empty the locker room and appear on the top of the entrance ramp. Caleb Scott with his Television title hosted over his shoulder leads the pack burning a hole in Kalvin as he stares at him. Not far behind is the Uprising Champion Iron Wolf, his title snug around his waist. The rest of the roster, from PG-13 to TJ Alexander and everyone in between are all present. Their eyes focused on Kalvin waiting to hear what he has to say next.
Kalvin: Come on everyone, these are who you are here to see, give it up for them!
The fans erupt again at the sight of the roster at the top of the ramp, almost a full minute in they begin the “Combat, Combat” Chant a bit. Kalvin smiles and soaks it in before finally interrupting.
Kalvin: Exactly what I thought you wanted. Now this may be the only time you see this group of gentlemen all in the same place not trying to kill each other because once I leave this ring Combat is on! And to make sure you realize that I am serious about providing you the best action in the entire Industry tonight our main event will feature two of our best Combatants against each other, when the Television Champion Caleb Scott takes on the Uprising Champion Iron Wolf in a match that isn’t about titles. No they both have those, this match is about setting a precedent, about setting a tempo, making a statement to the rest of the locker room. This match is about respect!
The camera pans to Wolf and Scott who both seem taken back by this announcement, the two stare at each other a bit and Scott even mutters a few words in Wolf’s direction but nothing that is audible to the cameras.
Kalvin: We will also be starting the process to crown our first EVER global champion. I also don’t plan to take forever doing it, tonight we will have a Global Qualifier match to determine 6 men who will go on to next week along with our two Champions in a Global Title match, welcome to Siege Perilous!
Kalvin points to the Jumbotron as it lights up and begins to play a video package that was prepared. It’s showing an empty arena around the ring is a large steel dome. A voice over is heard.
“The ring is encompassed by a 25 foot steel dome, with a hole at the very top. Hanging directly above this exit will be the brand new IIW Global Championship”
The camera continues to circle the cage and follow it up showing the immense size of the structure as it moves up to show the position of the title above it.
“Two of our competitors will be chosen randomly to start the match, every 3 minutes after another will enter until all 8 are trapped inside the dome. That is when the match really starts, after that whoever is able to scale the cage and grab the title becomes the champion. Once in the cage there is no rules however, and under the ring will be loaded with weapons that the Combatants are able to use,”
The view changes to the face of Kalvin Dayspring talking to the camera, the image of the dome still in the background as he speaks.
“In Arthurian Legend the Siege Perilous was the vacant seat at the round table, waiting for someone to claim it. The only way to do this would be to complete a grand quest and capture the Holy Grail. It was a grand honor, just like the IIW Global Championship. Whoever completes this match, the test of the Siege Perilous, will have the honor of being our first champion and all that comes with it,”
The scene fades and we are returned to the ring with the fans cheering loudly as the Roster are turning and looking at the Tron watching the video for the first time as well. Kalvin speaks directly to the roster now.
Kalvin: Eight of you will enter that dome next week, and one will walk out Global Champion. But first we got to figure out which of you are worthy to take on the quest. But we have had enough talk, let’s get ready boys, we got a WAR to wage!
The roster begins to head back into the locker room as “War Pigs” play over the PA while Kalvin exits the ring slowly the camera pans ringside to the commentary desk where two faces new to IIW are just settling in.
Higgins: For the first time in what we all hope to be a very long run, let me introduce myself. I am Alexander Higgins and beside me is one of the brightest minds in the wrestling world Arthur B. Glass.
Arthur doesn’t speak at first but instead just stands and takes a bow, the fans at ring side give a bit of a cheer as Alex continues.
Higgins: And as Dayspring said you guys are in for one exciting night tonight! Not only will we be having a Global Qualifier match to determine the final 6 competitors for the Global Title Siege Perilous match next week.
Glass: The Global Qualifier will feature 13 fantastic Combatants in one match, the first 12 being determined by their success rate prior to tonight’s show with names like new comers Andre Cash and Tex Attwater to established stars like John Tolly, Sebastian Hamilton and PG-13! The 13th star however has yet to be chosen at all!
Higgins: This last member of our Global Bakers Dozen will be randomly selected right before the match from the winners of tonight’s matches PRIOR to the qualifier. That means whoever it is will have already wrestled and won once tonight and have to go into a grueling match. .
A graphic flashes on the screen showing all 12 men that was announced for the match: TJ Alexander, PG-13, Sebastian Hamilton, John Tolly, Jack Tyde, Tex Attwater, K-Jax, Obsidian, Amadeus Fox, El Landerson, Anthony Phoenix and Andre Cash along with a mystery silhouette for the last entry.
Glass: The match itself is simple enough, all 13 combatants in the ring at once. A person can qualify by pinning, or submitting another combatant. Once they do this they qualify and they disqualify the person they beat and both men leave the ring. So as the match goes on and more people qualify it will get smaller and smaller until there are only 3 men left to fight over the last spot for next week’s Siege Perilous match!
Higgins: But that’s not even our main event. That honor belongs to Caleb Scott and Iron Wolf in a Champion vs Champion bout. Those two matches might be our headliners. We have an entire card stacked with talent ready to entertain the audience here and millions at home! Let’s take a look!
Higgins: And we are starting just as hot because in just a few seconds we will have a match that has been building since before X-Plosion. The team of Eddie Charisma and Bill Nemeth now known as the Unholy Alliance are set to take on the long standing team of Pretty Technical, Ryan McCann and Christ Norton! Pretty Technical made this personal back in November when they tried to hurt Eddie Charisma after he managed to upset Norton in a one on one match
Glass: And from the literal depths of hell emerged the monster that we now know as the Darkness or if you will Bill Nemeth. Honestly I have no idea why such a beast would come to Charisma’s aid but if I had to have someone, or something in this case, in my corner, Bill Nemeth is not a bad option. I only warn Charisma to be careful because he doesn’t seem mentally stable enough for me to trust.
-The Unholy Alliance vs Pretty Technical
(Standard One Fall Tag Team Match / Winning Team Entered in Global Lottery)
The view switches as we see Charity Langston in the ring ready for announcements.
Charity: Ladies and Gentlemen first coming to the ring, the team team of the Unholy Alliance!
As she finishes speaking, Go for Spite by Despise hits as the Unholy Alliance makes their way to the ring.
Charity: Next to the ring their opponents the team of Pretty Technical!
“Just Like You” by Three Days Grace begins to play as the team known as Pretty Technical makes thier way to the ring.
Glass: Both teams are in the ring and here we go. It will be Nemeth and McCann starting us off as their partners stand on the outside of the ring.
He says as the bell rings!
***Ding, Ding!***
McCann immediately takes charge of the match as he grabs Bill Nemeth and hits him with a sidewalk slam.
Higgins: Nice move by McCann to start the match! I am already loving how this might go, what do you think Fischer?
Glass: Great so far but it’s still very early so let’s not count anyone out! Both of these teams have something to prove here on the first ever Combat and let’s hope every other tag team is paying attention as well.
Nemeth has now gotten to his feet and goes over and tags in Eddie Charisma. Eddie Charisma comes in and catches McCann with a set of quick punches, pushing McCann into the corner where his partner is. Chris Norton reaches out and tags himself in and quickly goes after Charisma with a flurry of punches.
Higgins: Pretty Technical has had enough! You see how with every punch Norton is simply trying to demolish Charisma.
And so far it appears as if he has the advantage, but wait, Charisma catches Norton’s fist and fires back with a punch of his own. You can hear the crowd start to finally come alive with a few chants here and there of “Eddie, Eddie,” as he suplexes Norton! The crowd starts to chant once again but Eddie has zoned in on Norton as he tries for The Blue Thunder Bomb.
Higgins: Look at Eddie, he’s trying to end this one early.
Glass: As he should, anyone knows the quicker that you when a match the quicker you can go on and move with the next one but just as we say that Norton has managed to squeeze out and now Norton seems to be favoring his shoulder as he gets up.
Higgins: Don’t count him out just yet.
Just as Higgins speaks, Norton hits Charisma with a clothesline, sending Charisma down on the mat as the crowd let’s out a chant of “Holy Shit!” Charisma seems to feel the crowd getting behind him as he picks Norton up and sends him up against the ropes as he goes on the ropes himself and Charisma manages to hit Norton with The Final Hour and covers him for the pin as the ref counts.
..1
… 2
…. 3!
The crowd cheers as Charisma and Nemeth began to celebrate their victory with Pretty Technical.
-The Alphas have Arrived
(Featuring The Alpha Enterprise)
As the four men are in the ring, Killer by Eminem (feat. Jack Harlow & Cordae) hits and we see Andre Cash, Malik Kaun, Apollo Moore and Joydyn Moss make their way out.
Glass: Yes, yes! My favorite new faction Alpha Enterprises has made their way out!
Higgins: Give it a break, but damn it they are rushing to the ring and sending a message.
As we see Malik and Apollo slide into the ring, we see Pretty Technical Slide out, as Nemeth is picked up and Charisma slides out as well, eyeing his partner but letting it be known that he wants none of whatever is about to happen. We see Bill Nemeth lifted up as Kaun hits him with the Wrath of Kaun, as we see Andre Cash pick up the mic and speak.
Cash : This ass whooping has been brought to you by Alpha Enterprises…You’re welcome!
Killer by Eminem once again hits and the four exit the ring.
-The Game Changer
(featuring TJ Alexander)
The scene switches backstage to where we see an attractive young blond woman with a microphone in her hand and TJ Alexander standing tall next to her. She has a large contagious smile on her face as she clears her throat and begins to speak
Ally: Hello I am Ally Anderson and I am excited to be here with one of the biggest names to appear on Combat, the former Television Champion TJ Alexander!
She pauses a few minutes as she lets the fans in the house give out a big cheer for TJ and then continues her questions.
Ally: Now we all know about your unfortunate loss to current TV Champion Caleb Scott on X-Plosion, and the savage attack that came after it. Still despite that you were drafted number one by Kaleb Dayspring to the Combat Brand. I think everyone wants to know why you think Dayspring picked you first? And what are your plans now that you’re here on Combat?
TJ: Dayspring picked me because why wouldn’t he? Look what I have done, my skills are unmatched and I am the guy that will bring my eyes onto the combat brand from the moment of the first show.
Ally: You are a part of the Global Qualifier match at Combat against 12 others? Thoughts?
TJ: In all honesty I shouldn’t be in this match, I should be given a bypass and go straight through. I have EARNED that but now I have to defeat 12 others, ok sure.
Ally: Is there anyone specific in this match you’re concerned over?
TJ: New Year New Me is the saying right? 2023 everyone starts fresh and makes promises to themselves, like lose weight, be kinder, save money, stop drinking, and all that none-sense. However the only promise I am making to myself is to win at all costs. Nobody is getting in my way and I will become the Global champion and the face of Combat. This interview is over.
The fans erupt with a loud pop that can be heard throughout the arena as TJ exits the scene leaving Ally alone, she smiles as she addresses the camera.
Ally: You heard it here, TJ Alexander plans to be the face of combat no matter what it takes.
-American Uprising
(featuring James Freedom)
With that we transition from backstage and see the ring has been set up with USA banners around the ring apron and a giant American Flag hanging down from the rafters and a single podium with microphones. All the fans look confused but intrigued about what’s to come next and then “A real American theme song” plays and then the American Flag comes over the big screen then slowly the words rise for your President of Pro Wrestling appear on the screen. Then the lights dim a little as red white and blue flashing lights appear around the arena, then it goes completely dark as the red white and blue spotlight falls on stage and James Freedom starts to rise on a platform dressed in his ring gear with his hands behind his back. The big screen continues with more words on it that says a true American hero James Freedom and then fireworks go off as he steps off the platform and makes his way down the ramp and waves gracefully at the fans.
As he continues down the ramp he takes a moment to take a selfie with a fan holding a sign that says the USA is number one. He then kisses a baby on the forehead and then a thumbs up to the parents. He gives a confident smile as he make way down the ramp and then walks up the steel steps and steps inside the ring. He climbs up the top turnbuckle and gives a salute to the fans before stepping down and then takes position behind the podium and taps on the microphone to make sure it’s working before he begins talking.
James Freedom: My fellow Americans and constituents tonight I will wrestle TCJ III for a chance to earn a spot in the Global Qualifier match later tonight but that is not why I’m out here right now.
James gives a pause for a moment.
James Freedom: You see I’m here to give an address about the state of the Uprising Division and it has never been more pitiful than it is now and yes I know it’s hard to believe that am Uprising Division can be more shameful than when John Tolly was leading the way but unfortunately this division is being run into the dirt.
James Freedom bangs his fist on the podium.
James Freedom: You see the Uprising Championship is being held hostage by a tyrant that keeps devaluing the Championship each time he takes the ring because Iron Wolf wouldn’t know the difference between a head scissors or a hurricanrana if his life depended on it. You see that degenerate does not have the core values that true Americans are built on.
James looks at the American flag for a moment.
James Freedom: But I do! And that is why I made sure to secure the Hardcore Championship when it was first reinstated and made it my mission to defend the belt successfully five-times and cash it in to become the rightful number-one contender to the Uprising Championship. Now, many will say I did all this for me but I plead to you all here tonight to not give in to the smear campaign that Iron Wolf will try to launch against me. I’m doing this for not only America but for the world. Because The Upsing Division deserves a Champion we can all be proud of and I think we can all agree that Champion needs to be a true American hero that bleeds honor, liberty and respect!
James looks back at the American flag and then back at the crowd.
James Freedom: So I end my address tonight by saying this. Iron Wolf, you better appreciate the opportunity you’ve had with The Uprising Championship because it will soon be coming to an end and this isn’t a warning, it’s a true threat, and I promise that I will complete my mission to rescue this division from your treacherous hands. And if you have any doubts about my actions I suggest you check out my match tonight and get a good look at your future. Now with that said may God have mercy on your soul because I won’t… Also, God Bless this beautiful country!
James Freedom gives a salute to the fans as he makes his exit the camera shifts to our commentating team ringside. As it does we see Arthur Glass is standing and saluting as James Freedom exits. Higgins just rolls his eyes before speaking.
Higgins: What are you doing?
Glass: Showing respect to the great talent that is the president of Pro Wrestling! This is one of the biggest acquisitions Dayspring was able to make for Combat!
Higgins: Just sit down, you look like an idiot.
Glass: If patriotism is idiocracy then I am guilty!
-Kurt Johnson vs The Silence
(Standard One Fall / Winner entered in Global Lottery)
Higgins: Well regardless I think it’s time we get this show on the road, we have already seen the total destruction Alpha Enterprises is able to dish out and now heard the ‘inspirational’ words of our President of Pro Wrestling James Freedom. Now though we are sit for a great singles match that pits a new IIW star Kurt Johnson against the debuting man simply known as The Silence! Originally this match was set for Equinsu Ocha but due to contract conflict we have local up and coming star Kurt Johnson!
Glass: I have meet this man they call the Silence and not only is he so eerily silent a few seconds alone with the towering behemoth might drive a weaker man insane but his manager or handler in this case The Captain is another threat that lingers ringside during any of his matches.
Higgins: Well without too much more hesitation let’s see these two men tie up in the ring and figure out which one ends up getting the victory and entered in the Global Lottery later tonight.
The scene switches to the ring now as the ring announcer prepares for the next match.
Charity: Our Next match is one fall, first coming to the ring Kurt Johnson!
The camera pans to the ring as we see Kurt already there and waiting, he raises his hand to a bit of a cheer as Charity continues her ring announcements.
Charity: His opponent accompanied to the ring by The Captain he is known simply as … the silence!
There is no theme music, instead the lights go dark as the large man appears on the ramp. With him his manager with the makeup of a clown following along behind him. The two make their way to the ring with no music, only eerie silence.
The ref takes a look at both men checking their gear, pausing a bit as he stares up at the massive Silence before getting the nod from The Captain that it’s safe. Once he finishes he signals for the bell.
***Ding Ding***
Kurt is a relatively big man standing over 6 foot but still looks like a child next to the near 7 foot Silence. Still he is not intimidated, he takes a few wild swings at the side of Silence’s head. One, after another, a total of what appears to be 5 rapid shots none of them seemingly doing any damage at all. Kurt looks almost baffled as he then bounces off the opposite ropes and gets a running start at the big man attempting a shoulder tackle only to be bounced back on the ground himself,
Higgins: This isn’t looking very good for Kurt right now, he will have to find a way to get this monster of a man off his feet so he can use his speed to his advantage.
Glass: Thank you Captain Obvious, the thing is how does one do such a thing?! He is going to have to abandon this reckless and fruitless attempt at offense and target some of the joints of the Silence, if he is indeed a man that may be the only way to knock him down to his level. I am still not certain if he is a real man or more of king kong in a hockey mask!
Kurt beats his chest a few times as the fans get behind him a bit before bouncing off the ropes once again, this time he leaps in the air with an attempt at a cross body block. Unfortunately for him the Silence seems more tree than man as he doesn’t budge and instead catches him mid air. He holds him for a few seconds as Kurt tries to fight loose but then The Silence front power slams him, driving him hard into the mat causing the entire ring to shake. You can hear the fans go ‘ahhhh’ as Kurt gets squashed.
Higgins: I think we may need to get a medic in there to check on Kurt he doesn’t seem to be moving after that slam,
Glass: Let’s hope the silence has mercy and pins him to finish this now.
The Silence doesn’t however, instead he drags Kurt up to his feet. Kurt is on wobbling feet as The Silence looks at the Captain for direction, the Captain smiling at his creatures’ destruction signals for him to make an example of Kurt. The Silence just nods as he lifts Kurt up above his head with a Gorilla Press Slam, he presses him a few times to show off his massive strength before he just walks out from under him letting him fall face first into the mat below.
Glass: Kurt is a warrior but he is mismatched here, the ref needs to check on him and think about calling this.
Higgins: Can you imagine if this monster gets chosen for the Global Qualifier tonight?! We might be looking at our first Global Champion.
The Silence snatches Kurt up to his feet and rears back hitting the ‘Nightmare Arrival’ (Somoan spike). Kurt drops down hard and the Silence places a foot on his chest to cover him, the ref goes to count.
..1,
…2,
….3!!!
***Ding, Ding***
Charity: Your winner by pinfall, The Silence!
His Music blares as the Captain celebrates on the outside and the two exit back up the ramp.
Higgins: And just like that The Silence gets his first win and is added to the wildcard drawing for later tonight! It wasn’t much of a match really, the Silence had control the entire time.
Glass: Raw talent, and a sadistic mean streak is a deadly combination.
-Monday Night Mayhem Preview
(Upcoming 01/23/23)
Higgins: Well two matches down tonight and still four more to go. How are you feeling about the talent Combat has demonstrated so far, and what we have to come?
Glass: It’s a spectacular start, young talent on display left and right. Raw talent from hungry young men ready to take on the world, this combined with the major announcement of Siege Perilous next week and the Champion vs Champion match headlining tonight. I think Mayhem might need to watch out, because THIS is the new top show in not just IIW but the entire industry.
Higgins: Well I have to admit I was excited about what we have going here but that’s not a slight to our comrades on Monday. As a matter of fact the first Mayhem of the year is set to be a hell of a one lets take a look at what is coming!
The screen flickers before being overtaken by the Mayhem logo. At the bottom of the log is the words: 01/16/23, Manchester UK, AO Arena. As it fades away the images of Bear-0-Dactyl appear on the left and Team Olympus on the right as a voice over is heard.
“Union Jack makes his return to the IIW ring after his brutal attack by those mysterious clowns. He will be teaming up with his long-time partner Pequeño Dinosaurio as they look to bounce back in the Tag Team Division when they take on Team Olympus.”
This continues with one wrestler on the left and the other on the right as the narrative hypes the matches.
“The former World Champion Russell Wayne makes his return to IIW in-ring action since his devastating injury at the hands of Bam Miller but it won’t be an easy one for him as Purge Member Knox looks to impress his group by knocking off a former World Champion.”
“Maverick Tatum and Max Stone both had a good showing in the rumble and Stone was actually one throw away from becoming the winner but now they move to face off in singles action against one another as they try to climb up the ladder in IIW and gain more recognition.”
“The UK Champion Fred Debonair will be in non title action as he squares off with a familiar opponent in Trigger. These two participated in the rumble and came to blows a couple times but now they get to settle any remaining bad blood in the ring.”
“Andy Donahue had an impressive showing in the Ice Crown Rumble that management is ready to let him loose on his own in singles action and see if he continues to impress but it won’t be easy as Crush looks to bounce back from his loss at Explosion and get back on track and remind people exactly why he is known as a top guy and get a little revenge against The Celtic Club by taking out one of Cavs boys in the process.”
The Mayhem logo replaces the images of the main event as the narration wraps up.
“These matches and many more coming to you live from AO Arena, Manchester UK!”
The view returns to ringside with our commentators as they prepare for the next match.
-Ace Johnson vs Axel Shaw vs The Wraith
(Triple Threat One Fall / Winner entered in Global Lottery)
Higgins: That’s a great line up our partners are preparing to bring to us across the pond in just three days!
Glass: It’s certainly a great time to be an IIW fan, because we still have a lot to take care of here stateside! Including our next match, a triple threat with three stars making their debut to the IIW fans.
Higgins: Ace Johnson is a young star only 19 years old with a mean streak and a lot to prove, one of his opponents is Axel Shaw a Canadian talent that has spent his first few years making a name for himself in ECE as a former southern champion there.
Glass: I have no idea where Dayspring is finding these guys but both those men are over 6 foot, along with most everyone we have seen tonight and STILL none of them are near the size of the third competitor a literal GIANT, this ogre of a man simply known as the Wraith proves to be problematic for any human being.
Higgins: Well that’s enough from us, let’s get to Charity so she can start this show!
The view switches to the ring with Charity preparing for the announcements for the next match.
Charity: First coming to the ring from the Netherlands, Ace Johnson!!
“Evolve” by Shinedown blast over the PA as Ace appears in the entrance. He tosses his hands in the air before arrogantly strutting down the ramp and into the ring. He leans up against the ropes as he waits for the other two.
Charity: Next from Toronto Ontario Canada and standing 6 foot even weighing in at 230 pounds Axel Shaw!!
The lights dim as “Envy” by Twitztid feat Ice Nine Kills hits the PA as the fans let out a pop once the muscular figure of Axel Shaw emerges. He makes his way to the ring locking eyes with Ace the entire way.
Charity: Next from the Valley of the Dead, standing well over 7 feet tall and representing the Syndicate he is ‘THE WRAITH’ !!
‘The Wraith’ By ICP hits and the crowd instantly boos and jeers, knowing exactly who is coming out as fog and smoke begin filling the arena. The Wraith steps through the curtain with a look lacking any kind of expression on his face, he totally ignores the fans paying them absolutely zero mind as if they aren’t even there. Once in the ring he waits in the corner for the match to begin. As the smoke starts to clear Mr. Tees seems to magically appear and takes his place at ringside in Wraith’s corner.
The ref goes over the rules with all three men before signaling for the bell.
***Ding, Ding***
The three men take a few moments to size each other up before Ace Johnson begins to run his mouth, pointing first at Axel then at Wraith seemingly daring anyone to make a move. The wraith doesn’t hesitate as he reaches forward wrapping his massive hand around the neck of the smaller man and lifts him high in the air for a chokeslam. Axel however decides to intervene and take the moment to attack Wraith. Quickly sending a few kicks into the ribs of Wraith causing him pause. He doesn’t seem affected at first, he instead tosses Ace across the ring with almost no effort and turns to wrap his big hand around the neck of Axel instead.
Higgins: It seems we are off and Wraith doesn’t play nice with others as he is quickly displaying his size and strength.
Glass: Axel is a smart competitor who has been successful everywhere he has gone, but that attack may have been a bit of a mistake because this is more than a man in front of him. It might be the only person he has encountered who he couldn’t just overpower!
Wraith lifts Axel into the air but Axel shows his wrestling smarts as he sends several hard elbows into the side of Wraith’s head causing him to loosen his grip and drop him back on his feet. Axel then quickly knocks his hand away, grasping him around the waist and what appears to be an attempt at the overhead belly to belly suplex. Wraith however presses his weight down hard and sends a series of elbows into Axel’s head causing him to stagger backwards, neither man getting much of an advantage. At this point Ace sees a chance to get back into the action as he bounces off the ropes and goes for a jumping double clothesline directed at both men. Axel moves out of the way and Wraith catches him mid air slamming him hard into the mat with a front powerslam.
Glass: The massive power of the Wraith is impressive. Ace is 230 pounds and had a running start yet the wraith just caught him like he was a football!
Higgins: yea both Axel and Ace may have a hard time, the men are big and strong and used to tossing their opponents around while they throw fist with them. I am not sure if you can do that with a beast the size of Wraith.
Axel takes this opening to bounce off the rope and hit a double axe handle on the back of Wraith while he is still down. The blow slows Wraith down enough for Axel to follow it up with some vicious stomps to the back and ribs. As he quickly continues to pound on the big man he finally goes down all the way. As he does you can see the already battered Ace pull himself up, looking in Axel’s direction Axel just gives him a nod as both men seemingly start to work together pounding on the Wraith. After a few more minutes of this they decide to drag him to his feet.
Glass: Looks like the two men have begun to wise up and figured out it may be smarter to eliminate the man beast that is Wraith before they worry about each other.
Higgins: Yea but they are going to have to really hurt him if they plan to keep him down long enough to finish the match between themselves.
The two men pick up Wraith and Irish whip him against the rope. As he bounces off and comes back at them they attempt a double clothesline The wraith however powers through both men’s arms before turning and clotheslining them himself. Axel goes down and rolls out of the ring fairly quickly to regain his wits, meanwhile Ace plops down on the mat hard before bouncing up and staggering right into the awaiting clutches of the Wraith who hits ‘The Flatline’ on him sending his head into the turnbuckle. Axel notices what is happening in the ring and slides in under the bottom rope quickly hitting wraith from behind and sending him over the top rope. He then turns to the still hurt Ace and goes for a pin.

Before the ref can finish the count Wraith grabs Axel’s leg and pulls him outside the ring breaking up the count. Once outside Wraith proceeds to attempt to Irish whip Axel into the barricade but Axel manages to reverse it and send him crashing into it instead. Still the monster of a man staggers out only relatively dazed from impact.
Higgins: What on earth is it going to take to get this monster down!
Glass: Divine intervention!
As Wraith staggers forward a few steps Axel kicks him in the gut and hits Nightshade (Evenflow DDT) on him. Sending him head first into the hard floor outside the ring. .Axel sets up for a few moments taking a second to catch his breath as well. He then picks up Wraith and rolls him into the ring under the bottom rope. Axel then climbs on the apron, Ace is up and waiting however and takes a wild punch at him while he is still on the outside. Axel blocks the attempted haymaker and sends a punch into the face of Ace. This staggers Ace a few seconds as Axel then locks him up for a suplex and lifts him high in the air before dropping him to the outside of the ring.
Glass: If I was Ace Johnson I would just stay down outside. He isn’t having much luck inside the ring with these two monsters.
Higgins: Ace is an IIW combatant he’s not going to just give up like that, even if it would be the wiser thing to do.
Axel pulls himself back up and enters the ring, as he turns towards where Wraith was he sees him sit up suddenly and you can see Axel look shocked. Axel runs over quickly and starts to send some heavy punches in his direction but they don’t even seem to phase him as he continues to get to his feet regardless of Axel’s fury of attacks. Axel goes for a wild punch once Wraith is on his feet but Wraith manages to catch his fist, Wraith then sends a vicious headbutt into axel that sends him staggering back a few inches. Wraith goes to follow up with a large punch of his own but instead of knocking Axel to his feet it instead doesn’t seem to phase him. As Axel instead shouts at him, what appears to be ‘hit me again!’. The giant wraith doesn’t seem to hesitate to oblige swinging again at Axel and again Axel seems unphased.. Wraith only seems to get angry as he challenges Axel to do the same to him. Axel swings at Wraith and Wraith also doesn’t seem phased as the two monsters then begin to swing wildly on each other neither man giving an inch.
Higgins: This is turning into one hell of a brawl, I have no idea how this will end but I wouldn’t want to piss off either of these two men after what I’ve seen so far today!
Glass: This has to be one of the most competitive matches on the card so far, both Wraith and Shaw are proving to be real beasts. I hope the locker room is taking note of this because getting into the ring with either of these two men may be bad for your health.
Finally it’s Wraith who gets the advantage causing Axel to stagger back a step or two. Wraith quickly takes this moment to Irish whip him hard into the corner. Axel hits the turnbuckle and staggers out forward Wraith follows up with a running big boot that sends Axel down hard.
Higgins: It seems like Wraith is starting to tip the scales of this battle in his favor!
Glass: Well in a contest of who is the biggest monster I am not sure if anyone can bet against a 7 foot tall animal like Wraith.
Wraith picks up Axel and places him up on his shoulder as he signals for the end. Axel however seems to have other ideas as he begins to move and slides off of his shoulder saving himself for the moment. Wraith turns around just in time for Axel to spring forward with an explosive clothesline dropping Wraith down to the ground hard. Axel kips up as the crowd begins to chant ‘This is Awesome’ he turns and amazingly enough Wraith is already getting on his feet. Axel however smiles as he rushes forward again this time however he almost runs through him hitting his signature ‘Canadian Ending’ (spear). Once again springing to his feet he takes down his straps as he turns back to the big man still on the ground. Then out of nowhere Ace Johnson rolls in and goes to cover Wraith.
Higgins: Well, if you can beat them, try to steal a victory I guess!
..1,
..
Before he gets to 2 Axel goes over and jerks Ace off the top breaking the cover. Ace quickly gets to his feet but Axel wastes no time in giving him a quick kick in the gut then placing him in position for his finisher. He lifts him up and hits the Broken Axel (Razors Edge). He then goes for the pin.

By this time Wraith is up and breaks up the count. He then quickly goes to cover Ace as well.

…
But Axel breaks up the count. Wraith is up and the two stare at each other a few moments and begin to talk some trash to each other before Wraith hits Axel with a throat thrust sending Axel back against the ropes. Wraith goes forward with a charging lariat but Axel manages to duck and sends him over his back and onto the hard floor outside. Axel then just falls forward to cover up Ace as the ref gets in position.

***Ding, Ding***
Charity: Your winner of this match, by Pinfall AXEL SHAW!!!
By this time Wraith is up on the outside and looks enraged he slides into the ring but Axel makes his exit and begins to walk back down the ramp as his music blares. There is a stare off between the two as the commentators speak.
Higgins: Well that was a hell of a bout, Axel may have come away with the win tonight but I don’t think this is over and I for sure wouldn’t count Wraith out of anything going forward.
Glass: That may be true but the most important takeaway from all of this is that Axel not just won a match but he got entered in the wildcard drawing for the Global Qualifier tonight. We could be looking at the first Global Champion right now!
Higgins: I am just getting word from the back, that Kalvin Dayspring has decided since Wraith put on such an impressive showing and wasn’t pinned so technically not beaten his name would also be entered into the Wildcard drawing for tonight’s Global Qualifier match!
Glass: Well that is exciting news and shows that Dayspring seems determined to put on the best product for the fans here on combat! It will be interesting to see what that monster can do if he gets lucky enough to become the wildcard tonight. He is a real threat to anyone at any time. He might make a big splash later tonight.
Higgins: He certainly has all the talent for such a feat but he’s not the only one on our roster with what it takes to bring home the big gold belt. Right now Tex Attwater, another contender in the global qualifier is waiting backstage with Ally Anderson, let’s cut to the back and see what he has to say!
-Seize the Day
(featuring Tex Attwater, Shante’ Waverly, & Jack Tyde)
We transition to the interview area backstage as we once again see the lovely Ally Anderson. With her is the tall Texan that only recently debuted with IIW about a month ago, he towers over her with his large cowboy hat and big smile.
Ally: Ladies and Gentlemen I am here with the undefeated Tex Attwater who is set to be part of the Global Qualifier match later tonight.
Tex smiles as he tips his hat a bit, grabs her hand and gives her a kiss on the back of it.
Tex: It is my pleasure to be with such a lovely lady today, anything I can do for you I would be happy to oblige.
Ally blushes a bit and flutters her eyelashes as she speaks again.
Ally: Well I was just curious how you felt about such a big opportunity so early in your career, and what are your general thoughts on being part of the Combat roster.
Tex: Well the scenery on combat seems to be a bit of an improvement
He gives a wink at Ally as he continues
Tex: And as far as the chance goes who wouldn’t be honored for such a thing? I mean hell I’m still a bit shell shocked about just being here and…
He is interrupted as a shrill voice is heard from off camera.
???: HIM, It is HIM!!
Ally & Tex turn towards the voice and after a few seconds Shante’ Waverly and Jack Tyde both come into the picture. Tyde’s look is noticeably different, darker and less flamboyant than last seen on television.
Shante: He is the one that threatens to stop your ascension, he must be stopped before it is too late!
Tex: Woo little lady, I think you may have the wrong fella.
Tyde: If the Mistress of the seas speaks it, it is the truth. I will not be hindered by some weed that has grown wild, it is best to tend to it now while it is still weak and the roots have not grown too deep.
Tex: Well buddy if you think you’re man enough.
The two men both well over 6 feet tall tower over the ladies as they begin to stare at each other. Ally looks to say something but before she can Shante’ sprays some green mist from her mouth directly in the eyes of Tex blinding him and causing him to grab at his eyes. Ally Anderson quickly moves out of harm’s way as Tyde goes in for the attack. Sending a series of forearms into his blinded foe, before slamming him hard into the wall. He then reaches over and pulls a steel chair from nearby slamming it across the head of Tyde once and then wrapping it around his elbow and stomping on it hard. You can see Tex scream in pain before the security personnel are on the scene and Tyde walks away peacefully with Shante laughing at the attack. You can see the doctors checking on Tex as the scene returns back to the commentators at ringside,
Higgins: Ladies and gentlemen things just keep getting wilder as the night progresses and we are only just nearing our half way mark! I am not exactly sure what Shante says she saw but I do question if Tex will be able to participate in the global qualifier coming up later tonight!
Glass: Shante is a woman with vision, she has an eye from the sport that goes beyond pure talent like mine, no hers is rooted in the supernatural and if she says Tex is a threat to Tyde’s career well then I guess he is. I mean I could see it, Tex is big, strong and already proved capable in the ring, some would say he was even a favorite in tonight’s Qualifier match tonight. After that attack Tyde’s chances have to be better!
Higgins: Well we will keep you updated if we get any more news on Tex’s condition after that violent and honestly unprovoked attack in the back but we have to move on with the show. Next up is a special segment hosted by our very own Jason Byrd.
-Byrd’s Eye View
(featuring Kalvin Dayspring & The Hamilton Establishment)
The scene shifts back to the arena as all the lights are dimmed and a spot light beams on the center of the ring. Inside is one of Combat’s newest staff members. He is standing behind a podium that is set up with the words ‘Byrd’s Eye View’ across the front. The mic is still on the podium as he leans forward and begins to speak.
Byrd: Ladies and Gentlemen welcome to the first ever IIW edition of Byrd’s Eye View where I, the guru of grappling, Brainiac of brawls and the connoisseur of Combat itself Jason Byrd will be your host. From atop my perch of wrestling wisdom I shall share to you the inside knowledge, the story behind the story or as we call it on Combat the Byrd’s Eye View!
The fans cheer a bit, many of them recognize him from other promotions or independent projects he has done in his long career. He takes a few bows before taking the microphone from the stand and moving a bit looking towards the entrance as he speaks.
Byrd: Now it only seems proper that our first guest is the man who is herding these cats, the hometown hero of Hampton!
The fans give a cheer.
Byrd: That’s right our illustrious General Manager, Kalvin Dayspring!
The spotlight hits on the entrance ramp as the Combat theme “War Pigs” by Black Sabbath hits and after a few seconds Dayspring appears in the entrance. The fans let out a loud pop as he makes his way towards the ring, the spotlight following him down the ramp and into the ring. Once the music cuts the lights in the arena return to normal. Byrd shakes Dayspring’s hand and then motions for him to take a place behind the podium.
Byrd: So first off, don’t think the wise man didn’t notice you choose your home town. The place you made your name in the ring, and the place you worked backstage in the independents after you retired Hampton Virginia, as the spot for IIW’s first ever Combat!
The fans cheer and chant Kalvin a few seconds before Byrd continues.
Byrd: You have already revealed your plans for our Global Title and the Siege Perilous match for next week but what I want to know is deeper Mister Dayspring. I am an Authority in this sport, if anyone knows it I do. I know after NCW went out of business you took a bit of time off and you decided to focus on the backstage portion of our industry. You even started your own promotion for a few years, now my question is why IIW? Why now? And why should we trust you!
Byrd hands the Microphone over to Kalvin and he nods a bit.
Kalvin: Well thank you Jason, and I got to admit you’re getting a bit deeper than I expected but that’s fine I have nothing to hide. You see, funding a promotion out of pocket and getting it to the level of IIW is a much bigger endeavor than most realize. It takes money and time so when IIW came to me with this offer, to put this level of talent in the ring, in front of a global audience with the money behind them IIW has how could anyone say no?
The fans cheer but are silenced quickly as “When the man comes down” by Robert J. Walsh blast over the PA system interrupting what Dayspring has to say. Suddenly from behind the curtain walks Sebastian Hamilton, dressed from head to toe in a dark blue checked Tom Ford suit and Peaky cap. He strolls down the ring to a chorus of boos, ignoring every last one suddenly stopping halfway, reaching into his suit and producing a microphone.
Sebastian: You know I’d normally apologize for interrupting Mr. Byrd, Mr. Dayspring… Nah you know what boys? I’m not sorry because quite frankly I’m bloody pissed. I’m pissed at you Kal… You know, earlier this week I was singing your praises very highly and everybody knows praise from any Hamilton is something people can only dream of, pray for… But from Sebastian Hamilton? That’s the gold standard brother but then you go and do what you did.
Byrd and Dayspring just look at one another and Kalvin shrugs which causes Sebastian to snap the microphone back to his lips.
Sebastian: Don’t you shrug your shoulders and take that bloody smug look off your face you absolute cretin! You’re acting like you haven’t got a clue! You come here into IIW making out like you’re different from Shaun Hart, how you don’t run your mouth but all I’m hearing is yap, yap, yap…
Sebastian moves his thumb and fingers in the motion of a mouth opening and closing. The crowd continue to boo as Kal Dayspring looks on and motioning Sebastian to get on with it.
Sebastian: You, just like Hart are doing this all for yourself, you want to beat Shaun Hart but I don’t think that’s all about the ratings or at least not just for the ratings anyway mate. Now you used to be active in that ring and honestly I’d like nothing more than to walk in there and quite frankly son, put you down. But no, I will do this the way I see fit.
The fans continue to boo, as he pauses a bit to soak it in before he finishes his thought.
Sebastian: When I come away from the match tonight as one of your six, for the next edition of Combat. I will endeavor to make your life a living hell… When I come away as the IIW Global Champion, I will endeavor to make your life a living hell…
Suddenly Sebastian stops talking and pulls something out of his jacket. It’s a pack of cigarettes and a lighter. Dayspring and Byrd look at one another as they watch Sebastian stick a cigarette in his mouth and light it.
Kalvin: You can’t do that here! Hey, Sebastian, this is a no smoking building!
Sebastian sticks his lighter and cigarettes back in his inside pocket and takes a drag blowing smoke rings.
Sebastian: Life… Living… Hell. Now back to your regularly scheduled broadcast of this bag of shit!
Sebastian points to the ring, drops the microphone where he stands and walks backwards flipping both Dayspring and Byrd well… The bird. He then turns and walks up the ramp continuing to smoke the cigarette as Dayspring calls after him.
Glass: Dayspring should really learn to treat his employees just a little better, especially when they are of the class of the Hamilton Establishment!
-James Freedom vs TCJ III
(Standard One Fall / Winner entered in Global Lottery)
The camera settles back at ringside with Alexander Higgins and Arthur Glass as the ring is getting cleared and prepared for the next match.
Higgins: If you say so, all i know is we are rounding the corner and heading into our final stretch and man have we had an eventful night so far! Between what just happened with our boss and Sebastian Hamilton just now and the other dozen or so men and women we have seen in action tonight we have a lot to digest.
Glass: And not even a second to digest it in! The action just keeps coming and up next we get to see in action the President himself! That’s right not only were we given the honor of hearing him speak but we get to see him in action tonight against TCJ III. Which by the way I have heard he’s not really a Third!
Higgins: Regardless TCJ III made an impact on the last Mayhem of the year destroying Wrestleman and Talesin without breaking even a mild sweat. The self elected President will have his hands full with this monster.
Glass: He is the embodiment of America! I am sure he is up for the challenge. The more interesting part is he IS the number one contender to the Uprising title after his incredible run as Hardcore champion and has pledged to clean up the division and make it respectable once again!
Higgins: Well that is a totally different banana we would have to peel and we just don’t have time because Charity is in the ring ready to get things started!
The View switched to the lovely young Charity Langston in the ring ready to make the announcements.
Charity: Ladies and gentlemen our next match is one fall! First coming to the ring standing 6 foot 1 inches and weighing in at 270 pounds he is Thadwick Chaddeus Jackson the Third, TCJ III !!
‘Electric War’ by Osees blast over the PA as the fans let out a mild cheer when the large man appears at the ring entrance. He makes his way down the ramp give high fives to fans at ringside before entering.
Charity: His opponent for the night hailing from Washington DC, he is the self proclaimed President of Pro Wrestling and number one contender to the Uprising title, JAMES FREEDOM!!
A real American theme song plays and then the American Flag comes over the big screen then slowly the words rise for your President of Pro Wrestling appear on the screen and then the lights dim a little as red white and blue flashing lights appear around the arena and then it goes completely dark as the red white and blue spotlight falls on stage and James Freedom starts to rise on a platform dressed in his ring gear with his hands behind his back. The big screen continues with more words on it that says a true American hero James Freedom and then fireworks go off as he steps off the platform and makes his way down the ramp and waves gracefully at the fans. We get a quick glimpse of the commentators as we see Arthur Glass now standing at the desk and saluting.
Higgins: What are you doing Glass?
Glass: I am standing! You should too, it’s what you do when you’re in the presence of an American Hero like Freedom!
Higgins: Oh give me a break…
As he continues down the ramp he takes a moment to take a selfie with a fan holding a sign that says the USA is number one. He then kisses a baby on the forehead and then a thumbs up to the parents. He gives a confident smile as he make way down the ramp and then walks up the steel steps and steps inside the ring. He climbs up the top turnbuckle and gives a salute to the fans before stepping down and waiting for the match to start. The ref checks both me and signals for the bell.
***Ding Ding***
James Freedom walks to the middle of the ring and extends his hand to shake, TCJ III kind of scoffs and knocks his hand away. You can see Freedom take a deep breath before offering it to him once again. TCJ again knocks his hand back but this time goes to follow up with a wild right hand, Freedom however is ready and blocks it before sending a series of rights into the side of TCJ III’s head in return. The first three hits stagger the big man and Freedom sends a quick kick to the gut of Thad before hitting a vicious DDT on him sending him hard on the mat. The fans still a bit unsure how to take Freedom give off a series of mixed boos and cheers.
Higgins: Well Freedom is starting this off fast, he’s already managed to get the massive TCJ III down on the mat.
Glass: As he deserves, I can’t believe he refused to shake his hand. He must be from Canada!
Freedom springs to his feet and salutes the crowd before quickly going back to the attack on Chad. He is smart enough to pick up his leg and begin stomping the inside of his knee. After a few seconds of stomping it he wraps it up and falls on it causing it to snap at an awkward angle. He then lifts the same leg in the air and does a front flip over him once again, snapping the knee in an odd angle. You can see Thad clenching his knee in pain.
Glass: Freedom is showing why America is the greatest country in the world, expertly taking apart his opponent just like we used our superior tactics to beat the British for our freedom!
Higgins: I am not sure about any of that, but Freedom does have full control of this match and has been able to keep Thad off his feet so far in this match.
Freedom transitions into a leg lock pulling back hard on the knee of TCJ III as he continues to focus on his opponent’s knee. Thad sits up and begins to fight it using all his strength to pull himself towards the ropes. After a few seconds TCJ III is able to grab the bottom rope and forces Freedom to release the hold. Freedom gets up and goes to lift Thad to his feet but Thad sends a few punches into the gut of Freedom causing him to lose his grip. Thad is then up and goes to grab lift Freedom up for what appears to be a body slam but as he puts weight on his knee it buckles and he goes down to one knee dropping Freedom back on his own feet. Freedom does hesitate as he bounces off the nearby ropes and hits ‘The Pride of America’ (clothesline from hell).
Glass: Oh say can you see! The President is bringing this home for the Red White and Blue! He’s got this all wrapped up, I don’t see how Thad can get back into this!
HIggins: He is in full control, but TCJ III is a supreme athlete so Freedom can’t afford to let up, he should probably go for the cover at this point!
Freedom jumps up on the middle rope and places his hand over his heart as he begins to say the pledge of allegiance out loud as he waits for Thad to get back up. As Thad makes it to his feet he drops down and walks over to give him a kick to the gut before hitting ‘American Justice’ (the pedigree) on the big man. He then goes for the cover and the ref counts.

***Ding, Ding***
Charity: And your winner by pinfall, James Freedom!!
Glass: What an important date, you know what in a few years from now this might be an American holiday! Jan Friday the 13th, the birth of the real American movement in IIW!
Higgins: I am sure James Freedom will be a real star on Combat!
Glass: A real Star, just like the ones on that flag he carries with such pride!
His music blast as he celebrates his victory before the scene then cuts back to ringside with Glass and Higgins.
-Qualifier Update
(featuring the entire global qualifier match participants)
Higgins: So I am getting word from backstage that the doctors are currently checking on Tex after the brutal attack from Tyde just a few minutes ago and according to what I am hearing Tex will not be able to compete in the qualifier tonight! He might even be out for the next few shows due to the injury he received to his arm.
Glass: That is a shame, he may be a bit of a huckleberry but Tex is a competitor and many had him favored to qualify tonight. I guess Tyde is making sure they have room for him in Siege Perilous next week!
Higgins: Yes but .. hold on let me make sure I am hearing this right…
Higgins pauses as he listens through his headset a few seconds nodding before he continues.
Higgins: OK yea, so instead of running one competitor short his spot will be given to a SECOND wildcard tonight! So that means another one of these great competitors gets a chance to be in the match tonight!
Glass: GOD BLESS AMERICA! Freedom has double the chance of being drawn to represent this great country tonight. And Shaw, and The creepy bastard the Silence! That opens so many doors!
Higgins: Don’t forget they added the Wraith to the pool as well! Still there is even more to add to this story.
Glass: Did Tyde take someone else out?
Higgins: No, but the main event and the qualifier just got a bit juicier! As it was explained earlier the competitors in next week’s Siege Perilous will enter the match in intervals not all at once. Well the winner of tonight’s main event will be the LAST person to enter Siege Perilous giving them a big advantage on being a lot fresher, while the loser will be one of the first two to enter!
Glass: What a double edged sword that is, its big risk, big reward for the two champs later tonight. I love it!
Higgins: As for the qualifier the quicker they qualify the later they enter in the title match! So the first to qualify will be second to last, while the last will start in the ring with the loser from tonight’s main event!
Glass: If the pressure wasn’t on already, we are adding a big advantage to anyone who gets it over with quick and a total of TWO wildcards no one could have prepared for! This is must see TV, I need a minute to figure this all out but I think we got something going on backstage so lets see what’s up!
-Rules of Engagement
(featuring Caleb Scott & Kalvin Dayspring)
The scene cuts backstage as we see the Combat General Manager Kalvin Dayspring walking down the backstage hallways. He comes up on a door with a nameplate that says ‘Television Champion Caleb Scott’ he knocks a few times before letting himself in. Once inside Caleb is seen, he quickly turns his attention towards Kalvin who tosses his hands in the air in a sign of peace.
Kalvin: Easy there champ, I come in peace. Look, I want to say a few things before you go out there in the main event tonight. I think since we will be working together in the future we should come to an understanding.
Kalvin smiles as he points to the TV title that is across the shoulder of Caleb.
Kalvin: That title means alot and you deserve it. You’re extremely talented and have earned everything you have gotten and more. Tonight you’re in the main event, next week you’re part of the Siege Perilous match for the Global title, also the main event. Two main events in the first two cards, you deserve this. Now how many main events have you been in before Combat?
He pauses for a second but doesn’t give Caleb time to answer before continuing.
Kalvin: I picked you because I knew your talent, I knew you had been held back on Mayhem, I know you’re still young and have a big future ahead of you. All this combined with my time in the ring and I totally understand why you may have thought aligning yourself with those sick twisted Purge was the only way your hard work would ever pay off. But I think I have already proved that I am not afraid to give you what you earned.
He pauses, clearing his throat.
Kalvin: That being said you need to understand that I will not tolerate things like what happened on X-Plosion, you may have noticed you’re the only one of that bunch that is drafted to Combat. That’s because you’re the only one that has proved you’re a real talent. So do me, and yourself a favor and leave all that behind on Mayhem. Tonight, go out there have a great contest with Iron Wolf and prove that I made the right decision by placing my faith in you.
Caleb approaches Kalvin, their faces inches apart as Caleb stares daggers into Kalvin.
Scott: You think you can come in here, making these demands, telling me how I am supposed to conduct myself on your baby, Combat? Hawkins and The Followers might not officially be on Combat but do you think that will stop them? Do you think that will stop us from taking over Combat?
Caleb takes the Television Championship off his shoulder and holds it up between his and Kalvin’s face.
Scott: I did earn this championship. I have worn it with pride for a while now and after we go through the monstrous creation of yours, Siege Perilous, I will be adding to my collection by becoming the first ever IIW Global Champion. But as for tonight, I will go out there and show everyone why I am COMBAT. I will make you look like a genius for putting me in these main events. As for The Purge, you can tell them to stay away, ban them from ringside, and do whatever you want to do. Maybe they’ll listen…
Caleb then leans in next to Kalvin’s ear.
Scott: Maybe they won’t.
Caleb then turns around and sits down in a chair, puts his elbows on his knees and drops his head. His hair falling around his face. The camera then looks at Kalvin before the scene transitions to ringside with Higgins & Glass.
-Wildcard
(The Wild Card Drawing!)
Higgins: Well it is time! We have built up to this match for most of the night, 13 combatants will enter that ring and 6 will emerge deemed worthy enough to compete in Siege Perilous for the grandest prize of them all, the IIW Global Championship!
Glass: After the uncalled for and vicious attack by Jack Tyde earlier which has taken out Tex Attwater for at least tonight, IF NOT longer two of these entrants will be Wild Card choices. Men who have already wrestled once tonight, their bodies already pushed to the limit are now expected to push it further in such a chaotic qualifying match up!
Higgins: That’s right and again just a quick reminder of the rules, all 13 men will start at once. During the chaotic match whoever manages to capture a pinfall or submission will qualify for Siege Perilous and at the same time eliminate the person they scored the victory over. As the match goes on the competition will slowly dwindle until only three men are left to compete for the last spot in next Combat’s title match!
Glass: And the Cherry on top Higgins, is the quicker you score a victory and qualify tonight the later you will enter the match next week giving you an obvious advantage in the title match! To make it all fair, Dayspring has already banned ANYONE not in the match from ringside. So no Shante’, no Hamilton Establishment, no Alpha Enterprises to add to the chaos. Just 13 me…
Glass is interrupted as the lights go dim and ‘Ze Nigmar’ by Rotting Christ hits the PA, in the entrance we see none other than Television Champion Caleb Scott standing with his title secured around his waist.
Higgins: That’s our TV champion, he’s not in this match. He’s in our main event coming up after, what on earth is he doing out here?!
Glass: Looks like he is headed our way so shouldn’t take long to find out.
Caleb walks in the direction of the announce table as he takes off his title placing it down on top of the table beside Glass and motions for a head set. His music dies down as he gets it on and takes a seat.
Glass: Well the champ is here with us, seems you’re going to keep a real close eye on this match. Welcome to the booth.
Caleb: That’s exactly why I’m here, Glass. I will be facing six of these men on the next Combat so it would be foolish of me to not come out and take a look at the competition. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. Combat is my show so I wanted to come and see who would be serving under me on Combat.
Glass: Well you certainly aren’t lacking in confidence. I suppose you aren’t too worried about the Global Championship match then?
Caleb: Dayspring is just holding that Global Championship for me until I defeat everyone in the Siege Perilous match. There is no doubt that I will stand over the bloodied bodies of seven other men as I hold that championship above my head.
Higgins: Well while we have been talking the ring has been filled with our competitors!
The view finally switches from the commentators table and to the ring where we see Jack Tyde, TJ Alexander, Obsidian, Amadeus Fox, Andre Cash, K-Jax, El Landerson, PG-13, Sebastian Hamilton, Anthony Phoenix, and John Tolly. The fans seem to be in an uproar as a few seconds later Jason Byrd appears on the Entrance ramp by what appears to be a large box. He smiles as he waits for the fans to calm down before he speaks.
Byrd: I am here, to draw the wild card competitors LIVE!
The fans pop as he reaches his hand into the box and pulls out a name, he looks a bit shocked at first before he speaks.
Byrd: Our first wild card entrant.. THE WRAITH!!!!
‘The Wraith’ by ICP blasts over the PA as the giant 7 foot 4 man comes out and begins to march his way towards the ring.
Higgins: Well talk about luck, he lost his debut match tonight but since he wasn’t pinned he got added to the wildcard drawing, and now he has a second chance not just to win but to earn a chance at the global title!
Byrd then begins to draw the next name from the box. As he does a large smile comes across his face as he announces it.
Byrd: And the LAST wildcard for the night, AXEL SHAW!!!
‘Envy’ by Twiztid FT Ice Nine Kills blast but Axel doesn’t come out slow, instead almost in a full spring he charges towards Wraith picking up where the two left off as he hits him with a lariat from behind and sends him hard into the guardrail. Byrd quickly moves out of the way as the fight breaks out.
Glass: What a twist both Axel and Wraith competed earlier and both men are now in our Qualifier and they don’t seem shy about getting it started.
Caleb: Just don’t get too much blood on the mat, I have to go beat Iron Wolf in there after this match.
-Global Qualifier Match
(Fox, Cash, Obsidian, Tyde, Wraith, Shaw, Tolly, K-Jax, PG-13, Phoenix, Hamilton, TJ Alexander, Landerson)
The ring has the entire referee crew at ringside to help try to control and keep track of the action. We see our head ref signal and the bell rings to start the match.
***Ding, Ding***
The rest of the men do not hesitate to follow the wildcards example as utter chaos breaks out inside the ring. With punches flying people begin to pair up fighting each other, Wraith and Axel still brawling outside the ring, Tyde and K-Jax are now dueling in the ring. K-Jax gets the quick advantage with a series of fast punches before going to Irish whip him, Tyde reverses it however and sends K-Jax not into the ropes but instead into a clothesline from Sebastian Hamilton. Sebastian and Tyde stare at each other a few seconds before a quick nod from them both sees them both begin to give the boots to the now down K-Jax.
Higgins: There is so much going on its hard to keep track of it. It’s utter chaos.
Glass: Calculated Chaos, each man doing everything they can to ensure they are not taken out all the while looking for the first pin or submission they can get to get themselves in the title match on next Combat!
Caleb: I kind of wish I was part of that chaos. A chance to hurt that many men at once is quite appealing to me.
Higgins: Well you’ll have plenty of chances for that in Siege Perilous.
On the outside of the ring in the midst of the brawl it seems Wraith has gotten the quick advantage and starts to walk towards the steel steps to actually enter the ring, El Landerson however is perched on the top rope and comes off with a flying cross body that sends the big man off balance and into the guard rail. The fans let out a big pop as Landerson cheers and backs up a few feet to get a running start as he goes full speed and jumps into the air heading fast at the big man who is still laid against the barricade. Once he makes contact however Wraith catches him and slams him forward with a hard front slam on the concrete floor.
Higgins: I am not sure if I was El Landerson that I would pick Wraith to be the guy I go after, there is just such a size difference!
Glass: I don’t think anyone should pick Wraith as the guy to target.
Caleb: Wraith is a big behemoth. I wouldn’t mind seeing someone with that size and power on my side.
Higgins: Are you saying you’d like to see Wraith in The Purge?
Caleb: Let’s focus on the match, Higgins.
Inside the ring Anthony Phoenix is picking TJ Alexander up off the mat but TJ quickly sends a series of punches into his gut staggering him a bit. TJ then gets to his feet and gives a stiff kick to the gut of Phoenix causing him to bend over before TJ Picks him up and hits a Russian leg sweep on him. You can hear the crowd really getting behind him chanting ‘TJ, TJ’ as he goes to climb up the top rope. While he is doing that however Amadeus Fox goes to cover Phoenix. Before the ref can count however TJ is flying off the top rope with 450 Splash hitting both men and breaking up the count.
Higgins: Seems like TJ Alexander is hot right now, that was a gorgeous 450. You and him have some history Champ, what is your take on TJ’s Chances at of going to Siege Perilous?
Caleb: I fully expect to see TJ in Siege Perilous. He has the talent to make it there but that will be as far as he goes. He made a valiant effort trying to take my Television title at Explosion but this piece of glory isn’t leaving me anytime soon. Especially to TJ. If he can’t take my TV title then why would I expect him to be a real threat for the Global Championship?
Back inside the ring PG-13 is starting to clear out some of the people, tossing K-Jax over the top with a large back body drop. As he turns and sees Obsidian and Fox he charges at them with a double lariat sending them both over the top as well and to the floor outside. He shouts as the fans cheer a bit but Axel Shaw slides in behind him without him seeing. When he turns its right into the arms of Axel who grabs him for a T-Bone lifts him up and slams him forward hard onto the mat. He goes for a cover but before the ref ever gets in position Hamilton kicks him. Axel turns his attention towards Hamilton now who backs off just an inch and smiles at Axel. Behind Axel now is Jack Tyde who grabs him in a full nelson letting Sebastain get a few cheap shots to him while his arms are held. PG 13 however is up and gets Hamilton from behind with a big belly to back suplex. As he does this Axel breaks free of Tyde, turning to face Tyde Axel grabs him and tosses him over his head with a belly to belly suplex. Hamilton and Tyde land near each other as they begin to get up the four men are facing off now.
Higgins: Looks like there is some team work going on as Sebastian and Tyde face off against PG13 and Shaw!
Glass: That will only last until it’s time for a pinfall, these men only care about themselves and while it may be beneficial now in the end it is everyone man, or in some of these cases, MONSTER for themselves!
Caleb: The Global Championship is the top of the mountain and there can only be one on top. Any temporary partnership you see here is done strictly for selfish reasons. Can’t afford to trust anybody in a situation like this.
During most of this battle Andre Cash and Wraith had started battling outside, the two mammoths slinging each other around sending themselves into the steel steps and barricades. Wraith proves a monster as he handles the big man Cash with rather ease. Wraith is pulling Cash up from the ground however when Cash grabs him around the waist, powering himself up and lifting the 7 foot Wraith off his feet and sending him hard into the barricade. Not letting go of him after he lifts him again and tosses him over his head with a Exploder Suplex.Meanwhile outside the ring with him Obsidian is just recovering from a drop kick he received from the clothesline he received from PG 13 and decides to go for the cover on Wraith. Wraith however muscles him up sending him flying into the air. Nearby Cash catches him mid air on his shoulders, and in a brilliant display of power and timing he hits the ‘OMEGA’ (inverted ushigoroshi) and goes for a pin after. One of the Various refs count.
..1,
…2,
….3!!
Charity: Andre Cash has qualified for Siege Perilous! Obsidian has been Eliminated!!
Glass: and the Chaos slowly starts to settle as two men exit ringside bringing the mighty 13 down to 12 with only 5 prizes left for the remaining combatants to fight over!
Caleb: One spot claimed. I don’t think Cash realizes that he just won the beating of a lifetime.
Inside the ring the brawl continues as Sebastian Hamilton is starting to work over Fox in the corner of the ring. Giving him the boots for a few times before he starts to choke him in the corner. The ref pulls him off and he jerks Fox up by the hair of the head. Sebastian then climbs to the middle turnbuckle and places Fox between his legs as he does ‘The Retraction’ (flipping piledriver) from the middle rope onto Fox. Sebastian stands up after but out of nowhere Axel Shaw charges forward and hits Hamilton with the ‘Canadian Ending’ (Spear) sending him down hard. Sebastian wisely rolls out under the bottom rope to regain his composure. The nearby John Tolly attacks Axel at this point, but Axel quickly blocks his attempts at punches before hitting a vicious ‘Nightshade’ (Evenflow ddt) on him and going for a pin. Hamilton, still groggy outside however, is smart enough to grab Tolly by the foot and jerk him out to prevent Axel from getting a pin. The two exchange a few words before K Jax comes charging at Axel with a wild clothesline, Axel Ducks it before kicking K-Jax in the gut and sitting him up and hitting The ‘Broken Axel’ laying him out mid ring. He quickly goes for the pin.
..1,
…2,
….3!!
The Nearby PG-13 and Tyde were brawling but couldn’t make it in time to break up the pin.
Charity: Axel Shaw has Qualified for Siege Perilous! K-Jax has been eliminated!
Higgins: Even after a brutal match with the giant Wraith earlier tonight Axel just dominated in that ring and was the second man to qualify!
Glass: You also notice how no one wants to let someone else get pinned, sure they would still be in the match but it’s also one less spot up for grabs. Every man is only thinking of themselves, if someone is getting a pin they want it to be them. If someone is knocked out and ready to go they want to benefit from it. The wolves are hungry tonight!
Caleb: That’s what it takes to attain glory here. Everyone else is an obstacle. Speaking of wolves, not too much longer until you’ll see me taking out a wolf of my own in that ring when I annihilate Iron Wolf.
Higgins: You don’t think Iron Wolf’s progression so far in IIW will be any factor?
Caleb: Progression? What, him finally learning some new moves? His Uprising Championship? Iron Wolf is a pop-up wrestler. He’ll be here for a few minutes then disappear and when people look at the history of the Uprising Championship and see his name, they won’t even remember anything about his reign.
Wraith has finally made it in the ring after destroying people on the outside. Inside however he is met with two monsters in their own right with Jack Tyde and PG-13 who have been battering each other most the night. Tyde goes for the big man first but only get a big boot for his efforts. PG 13 however sends a clothesline at him that staggers him back a few feet, the two men stare at each other a bit before both men go for a clothesline at the same time taking each other off their feet and crashing hard on the mat at the same time.
Glass: Clash of the Titans right now! Those three men might be big enough to give King Kong a run for his money.
Caleb: Not to sound cliche but the bigger they are…
Outside the ring Tolly is starting to do some damage to the already wounded Fox. As he sends him against the barricade he follows up with a quick knee to the head of Fox. Fox drops to the ground hard but as Tolly begins to smack talk fox just a bit out of nowhere from the audience a man in a hoodie grabs Tolly from behind and slams him face first into the barricade.
Higgins: What the hell! Caleb is that one of your Purge Followers?! What is going on..
Caleb: The Purge Followers apparently aren’t welcome on Combat so of course The Purge would honor Kalvin’s request.
The man jumps the barricade and as a ref goes to stop him he quickly sends a hard left into his head knocking him down. As he does this however his hood falls off and the fans let out a large pop when the familiar face of long time IIW star Sean Raines is seen.
Glass: Sean Raines!?! Where has he been? Last time we saw him he was… well beating up John Tolly! The two have been rivals during most of their time here in IIW fighting over the Hardcore title for a bit before a short lived team up would end in Raines turning on Tolly.
Higgins: Seems he has unfinished business here.
Raines grabs a chair and sends it across the back of Tolly three times before looking under the ring and pulling out a table. He sits up on the table and drags Tolly on top of it with him. The entire time you can see Sebastian in the background watching closely. Once on top of the table Raines hits the Skyfall (double arm brainbuster) on Tolly sending him through the table. Afterwards he shouts in his face some profanities before security finally drags him away. Sebastian quickly goes over to the ref that Raines roughed up to get his attention and takes advantage of the situation and pins Tolly. The ref, still a bit confused, doesn’t hesitate much before making the count.
..1,
…2,
…3!!
Glass: See that is why Sebastian Hamilton is a rich and powerful man and exactly why he will go very far on Combat. He knows exactly when to take advantage of something!
Caleb: He knows when to be a snake but I won’t argue with you on one thing. That will take him far.
Charity: Sebastian Hamilton has now Qualified for Siege Perilous!! John Tolly Has been eliminated!!
Tolly doesn’t appear to get up and you can see the medical staff rush to his side after the Ref flashes a X in the air. They slowly begin to move him away while the match continues in the ring.
Higgins: Is Raines on Combat now? What is going on? It appears Tolly may have been really hurt by that uncalled for attack. I got word from the back that Ally Anderson was already looking for some answers and would let us know if she found out anything!
Glass: As much as I want to know all that Alex, we still have a match going and we still need three more people to qualify for Siege Perilous!
Caleb: If Tolly is injured then it is what it is. Combat is a place for the strong and the monsters on Combat will quickly dispose of the weak.
Inside the ring as the competition is sliming up its starting to be a bit easier to follow. PG-13 has a clear advantage over Tyde at the moment as he has him cornered and is sending shoulder thrust at him. TJ Alexander is now outside of the ring with Fox as he Irish whips him into the announce table right in front of Caleb, he grabs Fox by the back of the head and slams it repeatedly into the table the entire time smack talking Caleb.
Caleb: Oh, what? You think that impresses me? Why don’t you focus on the match instead of worrying about me.
TJ: You’re damn lucky you still have that belt. It should be around my waist!
TJ slams Fox’s head onto the announce table one more time then Fox falls to the ground. TJ walks up and gets in Caleb’s face as Caleb stands up while taking off his headset. The two talk trash back and forth before TJ throws a right hand, knocking Caleb back. It isn’t long before Caleb lunges back at TJ and the two begin to exchange blows.
Higgins: Things have gone off the rails here as Caleb and TJ are now going at it down here by the announce table.
Glass: The way things went at Explosion, you know there is some unfinished business between these too. I say let them go at it.
Caleb and TJ continue to go at it before Caleb lowers his shoulder and runs TJ into the barricade. TJ then grabs a can of beer from a fan and slams it into Caleb’s head, beer exploding all over the place. A group of referees and backstage personnel eventually run out, trying to separate the two men.
Higgins: They can try as hard as they want but it’s going to take a lot to separate those two.
Glass: There’s some real animosity between them and I can’t wait to see what happens.
Caleb and TJ finally get separated. A few more words are exchanged before Caleb sits back down at the announce table with Higgins and Glass.
Caleb: Sorry about that, guys. Clearly TJ and I have things that are yet to be settled and I guess he just couldn’t keep his focus on his current match. Now I’m covered in beer that came from one of these animals in Hampton.
Higgins: Quite alright, glad it’s sorted and we can continue with this Global Qualifier.
The view switches back in the ring as both Landerson and Phoenix are trying to take down the much bigger Wraith. On either side of him they take turns hitting him as he shrugs them off left and right. Finally he reaches out and grabs Landerson by the throat, lifting him high into the air, crashing him down with a choke slam. Fox takes the opening to bounce off the ropes and jump into the air to try to catch him for a Tornado DDT. Wraith however catches him and powers him back on his shoulder hitting ‘The Last Judgement’ (Cut Throat Burning Hammer) on Fox sending him crashing to the ground. He simply puts his foot on his chest as he makes the cover the ref counts.
..1,
…2,
….3!!
Charity: The Wraith has Qualified for Siege Perilous! Amadeus Fox has been eliminated!
Glass: Then there were 5! We have 6 of our 8 men already determined for Siege Perilous. Iron Wolf, Axel Shaw, The Wraith, Sebastian Hamilton and Andre Cash will join our guest tonight the TV Champion Caleb Scott in that title match on next combat along with TWO more of these 5 men in the match. Any idea which two it will be Champ?
Caleb: Well TJ is clearly fired up so I’d be shocked if he didn’t make something happen for himself. Hard to ignore that mountain of a man, PG13, as well.
TJ Alexander has entered the ring hot as he bounces off the rope and does a running tornado DDT on to Tyde who had just got back to his feet from his fight with PG 13. TJ kips up as he turns towards PG who is lifting Anthony Phoenix high in the air with a Vertical Suplex. TJ stomps his foot and hits a Superkick to PG causing him to fall on the ground and phoenix drop right on top of him. The ref goes to count but before he gets to one PG kicks out quickly. TJ then notices Landerson still out from the chokeslam and quickly goes for a pin. The ref goes to count.
..1,
…2,
Before he can count to three Tyde is there to break it up. Meanwhile Phoenix goes to pull PG to his feet and take advantage of the chance TJ gives him. He then goes to springboard off the rope looking for his finisher ‘El Ultimo Sacrificio’ (springboard reverse ddt) but as he makes contact PG just catches him then powers him over his shoulders and hits “The Revelation” (F-5) and goes for the cover afterwards. Tyde sees this and goes to break it up but El Landerson grabs him for a school boy and rolls him up at the exact same time. Two different refs go to count.
..1,
…2,
TJ Alexander quickly notices what is going on and does a shotgun drop kick right in the head of Landerson breaking up his count, PG however still has Phoenix down.
….3!!!
Charity: PG-13 has qualified for Siege Perilous! Anthony Phoenix has been Eliminated!
Glass: TJ Alexander was almost the odd man out just now. He was less than a second away from watching Landerson take the last spot in Siege Perilous!
Caleb: He had to move quickly to break up one of those pins. I felt that intensity against him at Explosion, he’s desperate for that victory.
The three men all begin to rise a bit looking around at each other. The energy from the crowd is electric as the fans are ramped up to see who the last entry in Siege Perilous will be. TJ doesn’t hesitate as he charges at Tyde. Tyde moves out of the way however and he flies into Landerson with a cross body sending him down. Tyde follows up both men hitting a double axe handle on TJ’s back. Tyde then begins to put a beating on TJ with a series of punches before jerking him off the ground and tossing him hard into the corner where TJ drops to a sitting position. Tyde cheers as the fans boo, Tyde gets a running start and hits a Cannonball on to TJ in the corner. He stands just in time to catch Landerson mid air. He then quickly lifts landerson up and hits “Jolly Rogers” (catastrophe) on to Landerson. As he does however our attention is drawn to the entrance ramp where we see Tex Attwater forcing his way past security. His arm is wrapped up and you can see doctors along with the security all trying to stop him.
Higgins: He’s not supposed to be out here! He’s not medically cleared, hell he isn’t even in the match anymore!
Glass: Well sometimes when you’re a man, you just have to prove a point to the world. Don’t worry Alex you will understand one day… maybe.
Caleb: Glass gets it. Look at the big brass ones on Tex. He wants revenge and it doesn’t look like anything is going to stop him.
Tyde sees him and smiles totally forgetting about the match he starts shouting at Tex. Tex doesn’t back down however, sliding in the ring. Tex manages to dodge a King Kong Lariat attempt from Tyde. As he does Tex spins him around and hits a drop kick that sends Tex over the top rope. The large man shouts “Yea Haw ” as the crowd echoes in delight and the chants of ‘Tex, Tex’ start. The Big man then bounces off the ropes running and diving clear over the top rope crashing into Tyde. As he does though he clutches his arm in pain.
Higgins: I respect what he is doing, standing up to a bully like Tyde but he’s going to hurt himself worse like this.
Caleb: He isn’t going to go down without a fight. The man has his pride.
Tyde takes the moment to go back on the attack and the two begin exchanging blows as Tex gets the advantage again and sends the large Tyde crashing over the barricade and into the audience. The two continue to brawl through the crowd until they are out of sight. Meanwhile in the ring TJ is up and after taking a moment to realize what is going on he turns towards Landerson. Landerson however is one step ahead of him and perched on the top rope, when he turns Landerson springs off and hits a spinning headscissors off the top rope sending him to the mat. Landerson then is back up again and hits a split legged moonsault on to TJ and goes for a quick pin.
..1,
… Kick out!
Higgins: That was close! Both these men have to be exhausted by this point, and honestly they have to move fast because technically Tyde is still in the match so he may pop back out here at any moment.
Landerson points to the top rope and the fans cheer a bit as he climbs it, he jumps off with his ‘Landerson Frog Splash’ but as he comes down TJ manages to get his knees up and send Landerson flying over in pain. TJ kips up and the fans are once again behind him as he gets his wits about him and signals it’s time for the end. He pulls Landerson to his feet before kicking him in the gut and lifting him in the air, hitting the ‘Game Over’ (angel wings) on him and going for the cover.

Charity: Your winner and the Last Qualifier for Siege Perilous TJ ALEXANDER!!!
The fans erupt as his music blast and he turns looking at Caleb at the commentary desk.
Glass: Well looks like TJ is going to Siege Perilous after all he will also be one of the first two men in the ring with either yourself or Iron Wolf depending on the outcome of tonight’s main event.
Caleb stands up at the announce table and stares back at TJ. The two refuse to break eye contact, continuing to intensely stare at each other while TJ’s music continues to tear through the building.
Higgins: Wait I am getting word from the back it appears Ally has found Sean Raines and is trying to get a word let’s get back there while we can.
–Let it Raines
(featuring Sean Raines)
The view switches to the backstage area as we see Ally Anderson chasing down Sean Raines as he looks to exit the building after is dramatic return to IIW.
Ally: Ladies and gentleman I am here backstage with the man who we just saw at ringside. Long time IIW star Sean Raines! Sean, what are you doing here tonight? Why are you here on Combat?
A sinister smirk appears across the face of Sean Raines, he lets out a slight chuckle as he begins to respond.
Raines: Why? Well obviously to have a nice little visit with my old pal John Tolly.
Raines turns his attention away from Ally Anderson, looking directly into the lens of the camera. A look of indifference lies across his face. Raines doesn’t appear in any specific state; he is very calm but yet has a calmness of violent intent.
Raines: Tolly, it’s been a few months haven’t it fella. The last time we saw each other was in the middle of a Mayhem ring. You lay there, after me showing you how useless you were. A short lived tag team, but I use that definition loosely. A team means everyone pulls their own weight, but you didn’t do that did you Tolly? No. You were going to let me do all the work. Well that didn’t suit me, so I let you know how that was going to go.
Raines: But then I had some business to take care of outside of the IIW ring. I have been roaming the globe for the last few months, finishing off some business that had been left for too long. I met with some old friends, some like-minded people. We agreed that some shit needed to fucking change. And change they will. I got word of the retirement of an old…let’s say friend. Let’s just say he wasn’t exactly happy when he found out I managed to become his last opponent. But Tolly, it was such a great moment….looking down at his bloody beaten carcass in the middle of that right. Looking out into the crowd, at the faces of his wife and children as I stand there victorious and covered in their daddy’s blood. You see John; I am on a crusade to change things. To right a wrong that has been looming over my career for many, many years. Many people are on my hit list Tolly….you just happen to be next on it. We have faced each other in the ring on a couple of occasions Tolly. We are no stranger to what the other is capable of. But John….you haven’t seen the worst of it. No, I save that kind of sadistic fun for those who deserve something a little different. Those that I see as needing to be shown the error of their ways. Unfortunately for you, that is where you now stand. That tag match against the No Good Bastards, you didn’t show up to win. That pathetic attempt to let me do what I do and you figured you would just ride the coattails. Fuck that Tolly! I beat you down like the little bitch that you are! I beat you down and went about my way, my point was proven. But no! No Tolly, you for some reason had to get on the camera, you had to run your fucking mouth about me while I wasn’t around to fucking close it for you! Well I’m back John! I back and I’m pissed! You fucking little coward, I’m right here. Come say that shit now! You walk around, and you bitch and moan. Let’s fucking do this. Once and for all. Here is the challenge Tolly! Me and you, if you win I’m done on Combat. But if I win….I’m going to stick around and make your life a living hell. What do you say? Show up or Shut up! Just a heads up…..it’s not an offer I am going to let you refuse….it will be a very bloody ending.
-Main Event: Caleb Scott vs Iron Wolf
(Standard One Fall / Non Title Match)
As we return to our live audience we see the lights are dimmed once again and in the center of the ring under the spotlight is the combat ring announcer Charity Langston. She’s an attractive young lady with long curly hair. Charity has a vibrant smile as she takes a deep breath as she begins to speak.
Charity: Ladies and Gentlemen of Hampton, Virginia it is time for our Main Event! The winner is awarded the last entry in next week’s Siege Perilous Match, while the loser will enter first!
The roar from the audience is heard as she pauses a moment for them to calm down before continuing.
Charity: First coming to the ring, standing at 6 foot 2 inches and weighing 245 pounds he is the IIW Uprising Champion, he is IRON WOLF!!!
The pyro blast from the entrance ramp as a large howl is projected from the PA system, the fans in the live audience join in before the somber tune of “Iron Wolf” by Beastwars takes over the PA system. It takes a few seconds before he appears at the entrance ramp, letting out his own large howl echoed throughout the arena once more. His title strapped around his waist he snarls and growls as he makes his way up the entrance ramp.
Higgins: The fans really love Iron Wolf here in Hampton that’s for sure, I can barely hear myself think over all the howls from the audience.
Glass: It’s because the audience is a bunch of animals just like Wolf, still his success since arriving in the IIW can’t be denied. He won the title in October and has managed to defend it against former Champion John Tolly on X-Plosion.
He enters the ring and jumps on the top rope letting out another howl to the delight of the fans before his music fades out and Charity continues her announcements.
Charity: His opponent for the night weighing in at 195 pounds and standing 6 foot tall. Hailing from St. Cloud Minnesota! He is the Current IIW Television Champion, The Granite City Sadist Caleb Scott!!
Lights go black as Ze Nigmar plays. Caleb’s four hooded drudges come out with torches on stage and line up two on either side of the ramp. Lights stay off as the song intro plays. Once the drums in the song start, a single beam of light from above the ring shoots to the stage as Caleb Scott walks into the light amidst a layer of thick fog. Holding his chain-wrapped bat, Caleb stands there for a few seconds looking at the crowd. The fans make sure to let their feelings be known as a chant of “Fuck the Purge” can be heard almost as loud as Caleb’s music.
Higgins: It’s no shocker here that the Hampton crowd seems to share Dayspring’s opinion about the Purge. Heck I totally agree with Daysprings on this the Purge gives me the chills so I hope Mister Scott listens to him this time.
Glass: Scott is a talent, I have an eye for talent during my career as a manager I have managed more world champions than most people could name off. This guy has that potential and Dayspring is right he doesn’t need them. Still it’s never a bad idea to have a backup plan when things go sideways.
Caleb begins to slowly walk to the ring as a short row of fire ignites on either side of the entrance ramp. Caleb approaches the steel steps and places his bat on the top step. He then places his hand on top of it and closes his eyes for a few seconds before going up the steps and into the ring, the single beam of light follows him the entire time. He walks towards the corner and stands on the middle rope. He stares out into the crowd for a few seconds before taking a deep breath, extending his arms out to the side, and unleashing a loud, thunderous scream before the lights come back on. The fans seemed to give off a mixed reaction, seemingly many of them still holding out hope that Caleb would make the right decision.
Higgins: Let’s get this show on the road, this isn’t for titles, this is all about setting a precedent going forward. Both of these men are automatically entered into the Siege Perilous match next Combat for the Global Championship. Still the winner gets the luxury of entering that grueling match last and possibly saving themselves a lot of pain and suffering.
Glass: They both have to be considered favorites to be the first to hoist that title above their head. This match is a chance for them to prove why they are the overall favorite, but as you pointed out more importantly now secure that last spot in the title match. And don’t think the other 6 competitors who qualified earlier will not be watching this, it’s a statement to the entire world.
The ref checks both competitors’ gear and goes over the rules before giving a nod to the crowd and gives the signal to ring the bell.
***Ding, Ding***
As the bell rings Scott just stands, arms to his side stoically staring a hole right through his opponent. His look of disgust apparent to everyone, he seems completely unconcerned with Wolf. Wolf however isn’t thrown off by his glare, instead he howls and the crowd quickly gets behind him. You can see Scott mouth something to his opponent but it’s inaudible to the camera, the two walk towards each other and you can see both of them talking smack as they do. Eventually the two decide to lock up and Scott gets the quick advantage placing Wolf in a side headlock. After a few seconds Wolf manages to send a couple of swift elbows into Scott’s ribs to loosen the hold, he then grabs Scott by the wrist and irish whips him against the ropes. As wolf does this he runs bouncing himself off the opposite ropes and the two meet in the middle, Wolf jumping in the air and hitting his signature Ground and Pound (Lou Thez Press) following it up with a series of full fist shots to the head. The crowd goes crazy before the ref breaks it up and warns Wolf. Scott rolls over to his feet and pulls up by the ropes, rubbing his jaw and glaring at Wolf.
Higgins: Looks like wolf is starting this one off hot, as he lands hard on top of Scott and gives him a taste of his fist. I think this is the first time these two men have ever clashed and it’s starting off like a classic!
Glass: Iron Wolf wears the garb of a traditional luchador but from what I have scouted on him he is anything but that. I have actually come up with a whole new name for him, in my research for this match I have begun calling him the Brawlador because his fist flies as soon as the bell rings and if the ref plans to stop him he’s going to have a real long night ahead of him!
With both men back up on their feet they do a little more smack talk, getting nose to nose as they talk a bit of trash again. Wolf takes a moment to howl in his face again which pisses Scott off who quickly sends a hard left into the side of his head, the two trade blows a bit in the middle of the ring before Scott gets the advantage and Irish whips him into the corner. He follows up with a clothesline and then shouts at the crowd a bit who has all started howling at Scott now. Scott then grabs the top rope and begins to stomp a mudhole in the chest of Iron Wolf. Once Wolf drops down to a sitting position Scott goes from kicking to punching him in the face and shouting at him the entire time. The ref tries to warn him but he just ignores him and begins to violently choke Wolf in the corner.
Higgins: Seems like Caleb didn’t take lightly to Wolf getting the quick advantage in their first lock up. It seems to have brought out the Sadist in him pretty quickly.
Glass: Being a sadist is almost a requirement to being successful in this industry, I can see why he took it up as a moniker. It lets everyone know what they are in for when they step into the ring with him, now he just needs to be careful because Iron Wolf may not be as proud of it as he is but he is just as big a Sadist and if Scott gives him half the chance he will show him first hand.
The ref begins the mandatory count but Caleb refuses to stop choking Wolf. This causes the ref to physically break it up, as he does Caleb shoves the ref on the ground and turns his Ire in his direction. As Scott grabs the ref by the collar you can see the ref threatening to DQ him. Still while he’s distracted Wolf is back up to his feet and doesn’t hesitate to charge Scott from behind grabbing him around the waist and landing a vicious german suplex that looked like it just about snapped him in half. Wolf takes a few breaths on the mat as the fans begin howling trying to motivate Wolf back into the match,
Higgins: The fans are showing their support for Wolf as both men are now down after that suplex!
Glass: It will take more than howls and fleas for Wolf to beat Scott here tonight. Not saying he doesn’t have it in him but he needs to get up and get the offense started before our Television Champion has time to fully recover.
Almost as if he heard him, Wolf began to use the ring ropes to pull himself to his feet staring at Caleb, stalking him like a rabid animal the fans can be heard as they continue to howl in support of the uprising champion. Slowly Caleb staggers to his feet just as he does however Wolf explodes forward hitting him with his signature Takedown (spear). The fans erupt as he makes contact and quickly goes for a pin afterwards. The ref doesn’t hesitate to get into position for the count.
…1,
….2,
….. KICKOUT!
Almost in stereo the fans let out a groan as the TV champion proves he is not out of it yet. Still Wolf doesn’t seem phased as he stands up dragging Caleb up with him. He lifts Caleb hitting an Atomic drop on him as he signals to the crowd that he is ready to go for his ‘Wolf strike” (super man punch) while Caleb is still staggered Wolf bounces off the adjacent ropes to build up speed and leap into the air for the move. Caleb has him scouted however as he catches him around the waist then lifts him high on his shoulder driving him down hard into the mat with his ‘Grave Plot’ (Alabama slam). The fans boo as he pops back up to his feet and looks around at the fans, signaling that he’s ready to put Wolf six feet under.
Glass: And just like that when you think the match is over. When you think the hungry wolf has his prey cornered and is ready to feast on his innards the Sadist proves he is hard as the Granite City he hails from and just about eviscerates the ring with Wolf’s body!
Higgins: That’s a poetic way of putting it ABG, but what I see is two men who are willing to rip each other’s heads off to pick up this win tonight on Combats first EVER main event!
Glass: That’s exactly what I said, you just said it with less panache’.
Instead of going for the cover Caleb flips Wolf to his belly and grabs his leg, lifting his foot in the air as he begins to twist his ankle putting on his signature ‘One foot in the Grave’ (standing ankle lock). You can see the eyes of Wolf quickly open in pain as he fights to reach the rope. Even through the mask the pain in his face is obvious. On the other end Caleb has it locked in and seems to be taking a sick joy as he watches his opponent squirm in pain.
Higgins: This could be it, Wolf is almost in the dead center of the ring and it looks like Caleb has that thing locked in tight.
Glass: I am never a man to quit, but sometimes it is the better part of valor to live to fight another day.,
However as the ref checks with Wolf he refuses to give up. He is trying to crawl towards the rope using his free foot to kick at Caleb. For every inch he moves closer to the ropes Caleb drags him back two. When it is more than apparent he is not getting to the ropes he decides to change the tactic, Wolf now twists his body and tries to grab at Caleb’s head, and when that doesn’t work he instead grab’s Caleb’s closest foot and begins to bite him on the leg. The sharp pain rushes over Caleb as he is just as shocked as anything he releases the ankle lock and sends a few quick punches to the side of his head to get Wolf to stop biting. Once free of Wolf’s maw he limps to the corner and looks at his leg, just above his boot is ripped and bleeding from the bite. You can see the astonishment in Caleb.
Higgins: If you can’t out wrestle him I guess bite him? I know I didn’t expect that but you can tell from the audience the fans are really behind it! They are howling louder than ever!
Glass: Well Caleb is a sick, twisted individual who enjoys hurting his opponents. That makes him deadly, but something even more deadly is a savage beast when he is cornered and out of options. Wolf is showing exactly what happens when you come across a wounded animal that isn’t ready to die yet!
Wolf starts to limp up, the damage to his ankle is obvious as he struggles to put weight on it. While he does this you can see the rage on Caleb’s face who doesn’t hesitate to bounce off the ropes and charge at Wolf attempting the ‘Grim Death’ (running knee strike).Wolf however somehow manages to side step it and spins around locking in the ‘Wolf Bite’ (lower jaw vice grip submission). You can see Caleb shocked and begin to struggle as he can almost feel his lower jaw being crushed under the strength of Wolf.
Higgins: Caleb nearly missed the Grim Death, the very move that busted TJ Alexander wide open on X-Plosion.
Glass: Except it didn’t work out nearly as well for him this time, instead of the blood of his foe he got a vice grip of death locked around his lower jaw. The Wolf Bite is a serious move that might just be the end of this entire ordeal!
You can see the pain in Caleb’s face as he struggles, trying hard not to fade to the effects of the move. He grips Wolf’s arm and begins to try to overpower him, not working at first he does get closer and closer to Wolf until he is able to kick wolf in the gut a few times. Wolf refuses to let go of the move but Caleb is able to grip his arm and hit a single arm DDT on wolf breaking the move and leaving both men out on the mat hurting from the exchange. As both men lay and the ref checks on them there is a disturbance in the crowd. The camera quickly turns its attention to the audience as various members of the purge are all seen coming down the aisle, hopping over the guardrail and circling the ring. They begin to pound the mat from the outside in an attempt to get Caleb to his feet.
Glass: It appears the break glass in case of emergency scenery has been activated as the diabolic purge followers have joined Caleb at ringside. I am certain that Kalvin Dayspring is not going to be thrilled to see this.
Higgins: That might be the understatement of 2023 and we are only 13 days in! Dayspring didn’t draft these guys for a reason but Caleb did warn there was a chance they wouldn’t listen.
Glass: I took that as more of a threat than a warning but maybe that’s just my pragmatic outlook on life.
Wolf is the first to his feet as he glances over his shoulder noticing the group that has formed outside of the ring. He howls almost in defiance as the live crowd joins him. As this is going on Caleb slowly begins to get up once he is on all fours Wolf takes off jumps in the air and hits the Dirty Stomp (Curb Stomp) sending him back down face first as the crowd goes wild. Wolf then points to his fist as he signals he is about to end this entire thing.
Glass: Looks like Wolf is going to try to bring them home as he signals for the Wolf Strike.
Higgins: This could be it, Wolf might win tonight and make himself the last competitor to enter Siege Perilous on our next Combat in that Global Title Match!
As Caleb starts to pull himself up Wolf goes to dash forward for the move but as he does one of the Purge Followers ringside reaches in to grab his ankles and stop his movement. Wolf stops and shakes his leg lose of the crazy man’s grip as the ref comes over and warns him about interference. As the Follower continues to argue with the ref another one of the purge followers hands the barbwire baseball bat to Caleb. Caleb stands up and waits for Wolf to turn around before nailing him right between the eyes with the bat. He quickly tosses the bat out of the ring and as his body hits the mat the noise draws the attention of the ref. He looks confused but when Caleb goes for the pin he quickly gets in position and counts.

Charity: Your winner by pinfall, and the last entrant in Siege Perilous, the IIW Television Champion Caleb Scott!!
-Spreading the Infection
(featuring The Purge, Iron Wolf & T.J. Alexander)
Glass: As I said, the Purge followers acting as an insurance policy for Caleb whenever his back is against the wall. Again it comes in handy as that barbwire baseball bat helped to secured his victory tonight.
Higgins: You mean helped him to STEAL the victory. That was such a good match, its a shame to see it end like that! Wait what’s going on…
As Caleb’s music blast over the intercom it doesn’t seem like he’s done. He nods to the outside and the Purge followers slide into the ring and begin to circle Iron Wolf. His music has cut off by now as he leans in the corner and gives the order the group flocks over his body and begins punching and kicking him. Beating him with everything they got.
Higgins: He’s already stolen the match! Why is he doing this!
Glass: He made it clear all night. In his mind this is his show, this is the Purge’s show. He is making sure everyone knows it now and possibly taking out some competition for next week to ensure an easier road to the title he already thinks is his!
As the beat down persist several security guards try to stop it but all of them get knocked back by the half a dozen Purge followers in the ring. Finally however from the back comes TJ Alexander and the fans erupt in cheers. TJ doesn’t come unarmed however, he has a steel chair in his hand as he jumps on the ring apron he tosses the chair at one of the followers who catches it. He then spring boards over the top rope and kicks the chair sending it into the Purge followers head. He then kicks another in the gut before grabbing him by the air and planting him face first into the chair. He retrieves the chair on his way up as he uses it to clear the ring of everyone but Caleb who has sit in the corner watching the whole thing.
Glass: TJ Alexander just proved why he is the Game Changer and why Kalvin Dayspring went out of his way to secure him for Combat.
Higgins: Yea but Scott still has that baseball bat! And lots of bad intentions.
TJ slowly walks over keeping his eyes locked on Scott as he checks on Wolf. Scott lets off a wicked grin as he flips backwards over the top and out of the ring. The Purge followers huddle around him on the entrance ramp as the logo flashes and show fades while TJ and Caleb lock eyes.
