FNC – 3/9/23

THE CHAMP IS HERE

(featuring Caleb Scott)

As Combat comes on the air we see the Combat Logo slowly fade away as we are brought on air backstage as a large double door opens and Caleb Scott emerges with his duffle bag on one shoulder and the big gold FNC Global Title over the other. You can hear the fans let out a big boo flooding the air as he walks through the halls in the back.

Higgins: Well he’s not schedule tonight but it appears our Global Champion is in the building.

Glass: Wonder what on earth he could have in mind? He just came off a grueling set of matches against TJ Alexander on Ground Zero and will surely be set to defend that title at Theater of War.

The Man Comes Down

(featuring Sebastian Hamilton)

The view switches to inside the arena as the Pyros explodes at the top of the entrance ramp and as the view pans around at the sold out crowd, cheering loudly it finally comes to a rest at the commentators table with our host for the evening Alex Higgins and Arthur B. Glass.  Both men standing up Alex begin to speak welcoming the audience.

Higgins: Ladies and Gentlemen welcome to yet ANOTHER jam packed episode of Friday Night Combat, I am Alex Higgins this is my knowledgeable Co-host the legendary Arthur B. Glass!

Glass does a bit of a bow as he makes a fancy gesture with his hand before Higgins continues.

Higgins: We are fresh off the heels of GROUND ZERO, Combat’s first ever Super Card and man was it an exciting night! The show being booked ended by the TV and Global title matches both of which featured Caleb Scott & TJ Alexander!

Glass: What amazing matches they were indeed Alex. Despite not being able to take home all the gold TJ Alexander did manage to come away with the Television Title and knock our Global Champ down a peg or two, maybe proving to the roster backstage and the world in general that he is beatable!

Higgins: TJ Alexander is scheduled to be part of Byrd’s eye view tonight and as we just saw Scott is in the building so it will be interesting to hear from them both tonight. Still that was just two big matches in a card jam packed with them, with everything from a steel cage match, the Uprising title changing hands and a Hardcore gaunt…

Before Higgins could finish his thought the lights dim ever so slightly and the sound of a light breeze forming into a heavy wind sounds throughout the arena over the speaker system… A ship’s bell tolls for a bit and then dies down, making way for “When the man comes down” by Robert J. Walsh. Sebastian Hamilton steps out from behind the curtain dressed head to toe in a charcoal grey Brioni suit and black Brogues on his feet, IIW Hardcore Title sitting proudly over his shoulder. He walks down the aisle with purpose, completely ignoring the boos emanating from the South Carolina crowd.

Glass: Speak of the Devil and Sebastian Hamilton arrives. With his nice shiny hardcore title in toe.

Higgins: Yea he defended that title in a gauntlet against five other men on Ground Zero to earn a shot at the uprising title, but instead of cashing it. I am pretty sure he plans to collect them both and defend them both in turn.

Glass: We see how that worked out for Caleb, having to defend both titles in one night is no easy task!

Sebastian stalks the steel steps, steps between the top and middle ropes and paces slowly between turnbuckles, before asking the lovely Charity Langston for a microphone, a request she dutifully fulfills. The music slowly dies down and the lights come back up as Sebastian stands there in the middle of the ring, microphone in hand. He adjusts the Hardcore Title before lifting the microphone…

Sebastian: Columbia, South Carolina…. Nah, you know what? I was going to ask how you were doing but we all know I just… I just don’t actually care enough to ask! The same way I didn’t care enough back in your counterpart up north. But you know what? There is one person whose feelings I do want to figure out right now and that’s good ol’ Kal… Kalvin Dayspring! How are you feeling Mr. General Manager? Mr. I’m in charge?! Mr. I’m going to stack all the odds against you and watch you falter…?? How – Do – You – Feel?!

The fans let their feelings be known as they begin a ‘You Suck’ chant directed at Sebastian.

Sebastian: Because let’s face it Kalvin, you mate are harboring some proper grudge against me right now aren’t you? And honestly I can’t figure out what the issue is, what YOUR issue is! Is it because I called you out, for your holier than thou attitude? Telling you like it is, about your Shaun Hart rivaling egotistical arrogance?? Or is it because I’ve gone ahead and done something like build rapport with other members of the Combat roster and Co-Formed The Nightmare Court?! I’m gonna hazard a guess and say it’s all three. In any case at Ground Zero, I proactively came to see you and due to the fact you’ve got hardly anyone of worth on your roster, decided to put this beauty up, for a shot at Caleb Scott and the Global Title!

Sebastian continues to pace the ring, acknowledging the IIW Hardcore Championship, as he speaks about it, readjusting it on his shoulder again, all the while the crowd booing.

Sebastian: Yeah yeah, boo all you want but that doesn’t take away from the facts I’m pointing out here does it? Kal, you then said no… You changed what was a six man match, into a GAUNTLET for me to run! And said IF I succeed I’d get a shot at, not the TV Title, but the Uprising Championship! A gauntlet I wasn’t prepared for and one which it was also demanded of me, that my Hardcore belt was put on the line… Now of course this was something these Hick Muppets loved the sound of and obviously that’s why you did it, isn’t it Kal? But unfortunately fella, you came a little unstuck didn’t you? You sort of dropped the ball because you didn’t think that Sebastian Hamilton or The Hamilton Establishment were as smart as we are… Did you?

The boos continue to flood in as Sebastian has to pause a second to let them calm down before he continues.

Sebastian: Oh I had them all scouted and I sized up each and every one of them! Firstly Eddie Charisma, then El Landerson… But low and behold Dayspring got scared! He got scared and somehow he got word to referee Joe Trotter, to evict my brothers from ringside! And if that wasn’t your doing, Kal… Then he needs to be FIRED! Because that mug clearly doesn’t understand the concept of HARDCORE RULES! My belt was on the line, therefore it was a hardcore match! And what made it worse, was after I’d taken care of El Landerson and my brothers had been sent to the back, I didn’t get just Ryan McCann or Chris Norton! I got PRETTY TECHNICAL together! But what happened there, Kal? Do you recall?

Sebastian walks toward a turnbuckle facing the back and leans against it, smirking. He points and waves his hand toward himself and the ring.

Sebastian: Why don’t you come on out here mate, remind these… “lovely” people, what happened when I was supposed to be double teamed by Pretty Technical? No of course you won’t, but I happily will. McCann, rolled up 1, 2, 3 innit? Norton…? Knucks. Three count. And so out comes the final participant in this barrage set up by Kalvin Dayspring… The Silence and bloody hell was deafening?! And so were the theatrics! The Silence shocked me. I won’t lie, because I can’t.

Glass: The Silence really gave him a run for his money, honestly there were a few times during that match I was sure we were going to have a new Hardcore Champion!

Higgins: it was an impressive showing by the Silence who continues to make a name for himself here on Combat.

Sebastian: That man, I guess? Was probably the toughest opponent I’ve had here in IIW since arriving but I STILL managed to do it eh? It’s funny though, I get my shot at the IIW Uprising Title and The Silence who I completely battered at Ground Zero, is in with a chance to become number one contender for the IIW Television Title, just another of Kal’s little schemes to keep me down but that’s okay, once I meet Cyrus Youngblood and take the Uprising belt from him, I sure as hell hope The Silence destroys Andre Cash here tonight and goes on to take out TJ Alexander for the TV title so I can take him down yet again and hold THREE belts. But until then I’m going to sit back and enjoy tonight’s show from the executive and Champions box… Kal? We’ll be speaking soon.

Sebastian drops the mic as “When the man comes down” picks up again. He climbs through the ropes, steps down the steel steps and walks back up the aisle, without so much as a look anywhere but ahead of him.

Higgins: Sebastian is living in his own delusional world, he is trying to have his cake and eat it too.

Glass: I don’t know Alex, he makes some valid points if you ask me. And he is a talent I for sure wouldn’t want to be Dayspring when they have that little talk.

Higgins: well I can agree to that at least, still it’s been enough talk lets get this show on the road! Our first match should be a real good one as one of our newest stars is set to take on a veteran in our opener.

The view switches to Charity already in the ring to introduce the Combatants.

“Just Like You” by Three Days Grace begins to play as the crowd boos when they see Chris Norton make his way down to the ring.

Charity: The following match is scheduled for one fall. Making his way to the ring, from Providence, Rhode Island, Chris Norton.

Norton enters the ring and climbs to the top of a nearby corner and tosses his arms in the air and urges the crowd to get louder.

Higgins: The fans clearly not a fan of Norton as they continue to hurl boos at him.

Glass: Well let’s see if he can sway them against the newcomer.

“Envy” by Twiztid and Ice Nine Kills begins to play throughout the Colonial Life Arena as Gavin Chambers walks out onto the stage. He stares out at the booing crowd before walking arrogantly towards the ring.

Charity: And his opponent, from Toronto, Ontario, Gavin Chambers.

Chambers steps between the ropes and stands in the middle of the ring. Staring out at the crowd until his music fades out.

Higgins: Gavin Chambers taking on Chris Norton tonight after an impressive debut victory over Alex Kincaid at Ground Zero. Surely he’ll be looking to get a winning streak started.

Glass: Gavin is not only ruthless but a monster as well, standing 6’4″ and weighing 265. He is looking to rip the head off of anyone. Unfortunately for Norton, it might be him tonight.

The two men stand in their corners as the ref calls for the bell.

***Ding, Ding***

The second the bell rings Gavin races from his corner and drills Norton with a hard shoulder tackle, knocking him back into the corner. Gavin, not letting up, delivers a few stiff chops to Norton as the crowd yells “Woo!” after each one. Chambers whips Norton into the opposite corner but quickly follows, driving a knee to the midsection of Norton. Again, Chambers whips Norton into the opposite corner, this time following up with a stiff clothesline.

Higgins: Gavin wasted little time going after Norton there.

Glass: He got a taste for victory at Ground Zero and now he wants more.

Chambers goes for a strong right hand but Norton blocks it, grabs Chambers by the head and throws him into the corner, delivering a few rights. Chambers ducks under, gets Norton back into the corner and begins to drive his shoulder into Norton’s midsection. Chambers brings Norton over to the ropes and whips him, Norton rebounds and attempts a crossbody but Chambers is too powerful and catches Norton. He stands there holding him briefly before falling backwards and hitting Norton with a fallaway slam and quickly goes for the cover.

2…

Kickout.

Chambers picks up Norton and delivers a few punches before stepping back and attempting a superkick but Norton catches his foot, spins him around and hits Chambers with a big German Suplex. Norton, staying on Chambers, hits a few kicks before wrapping his arms around Gavin and flipping him over with a belly to belly suplex. Chambers starts to get up but Norton is already back to his feet and spins around connecting with a spinning heel kick, dropping Chambers back to the mat as Norton attempts a cover of his own.

1…

2…

Kickout.

Higgins: Tight matchup so far, both men getting in their shots.

Glass: Something has to give, these guys are getting after each other.

Norton gets up and Chambers makes his way to one knee. Norton runs off the ropes, coming back with a quick dropkick to the head of Chambers. Chambers is getting increasingly frustrated and Norton bounces off the ropes again but this time Chambers is ready for him. Norton receives a kick to the gut then a few hard shots to the back before Chambers lifts Norton up, bringing him back down on top of his head with a vicious brainbuster. Back on his feet, Chambers signals for the end.

Higgins: Chambers looking to finish off Norton for good. He’s been wearing down Norton and is going to go in for the kill.

Glass: All that rage is about to be unleashed on Norton.

As Norton gets to his feet, Chambers jumps and goes for Darkness Erupts (Diamond Cutter) but Norton shoves Chambers into the ropes. On the rebound, Norton kicks Chambers in the stomach and sets him up for the MyCanIze (Powerbomb to Turnbuckle). Norton lifts Chambers up to his shoulders but Chambers splits his legs, escaping back down to the mat and immediately nails a Darkness Erupts. Instead of going for the pin, Chambers looks over at the turnbuckle. He climbs up and, with his back towards the mat, leaps off. He lands hard on Norton with a Sleeping State (Coffin Drop) and hooks the leg.

***Ding, Ding***

Charity: Your winner by pin fall, Gavin Chambers!!

Chambers music hits the arena as he celebrates his victory.

Glass: That was a quick match, Gavin is really showing potential as one of our newest young stars this victory makes him an impressive 2 and 0 so far, I am curious what he might have in store for his future.

Higgins: He may have some opportunities just around the corner especially on the big stage at Theater of War I…

Whose Next?!

(featuring Jack Tyde, Tex Attwater, Crush & PG-13)

Higgins is interrupted as the lights dim and turn red as fog slowly begins to roll out at the top of the entrance ramp. Over the PA ‘Alestorm’ by Alestorm begins to blast and as the rock music plays the fans let out a chorus of boos.

Go! A Storm is coming

The cold is mind numbing

Darkness is descending

Die, there’s no escaping

We’re all anticipating

Smashing your brains tonight!

As the lyrics are heard we can see a figure slowly emerge from below the entrance ramp. As he raises his large frame comes into focus as we see Jack Tyde. Not alone however as his ‘companion’ Shante’ Waverly is cackling at his side. The two begin to walk down the ramp and towards the ring. Tyde’s focus is straight ahead not pausing to even acknowledge the fans. Shante however mocks them and laughs at them as she goes by. Once in at the steel steps Jack pauses striking a ‘Captain Morgan’ like pose on the steps, as he does the Pyro explodes from all four corners sounding like cannons firing. Once the explosions die down he enters the ring he reaches over and grabs a microphone from Charity at ringside. He signals for the music to die down as he sits on the top turnbuckle and looks over the crowd with a face of disgust. The fans let their disgust be known as well as a chorus of boos flood over the ring.

Glass: Well Tyde is coming off of a big win on Ground Zero as he managed to defeat his rival Tex Attwater in a steel cage match.

Higgins: Defeat is a bit of a stretch, sure he got the win but there were some pretty dirty tactics employed to get him there.

He rubs his beard a few seconds before scoffing a bit and only speaking into the microphone after the crowd dies down a bit.

Tyde: If you imbeciles are sick of listening to yourselves, I have something important to say.

The fans erupt once again with boos and Tyde just laughs before he continues.

Tyde: Of course not. It doesn’t matter, you see I am here to solve a problem. Because after solving the problem that WAS Tex Attwater on Ground Zero I noticed another problem that we had on Combat. That problem is there doesn’t seem to be anyone slated to challenge our Global Champion on Theater of War. I mean TJ Alexander failed to seal the deal on Ground Zero but let’s be honest most of us are shocked he managed to even pry the TV title away from Caleb. Then you have the brothers, who couldn’t even manage to beat their own meat with the two ending up in a draw and proving neither of them worthy of ANOTHER shot at the big belt. So after putting Tex behind me, it seems it’s time The Nautical Nightmare gets his chan…

Before he can finish the word, ‘Cowboy’ by Kid Rock blast over the PA and we see ‘The Texas Truth Teller’ Tex Attwater appears on the entrance ramp with a mic already in hand. He gives a few high fives as he marches down the ring and slides under the bottom rope.

Glass: Well looks like Tex has a few words to say about Tyde’s claim of number one contendership! I mean he doesn’t have much of a leg to stand on after losing at Ground Zero.

Higgins: That was a dubious win, there is no way Tex should be excluded from the title picture based on that match alone!

The fans are chanting “COWBOY, COWBOY,” as Tex looks around and smiles before speaking.

Tex: Jack my boy, you think you can do what you have done to me, week in and week out. Bring up my past, and ….

He pauses as his face gets a much grimmer look.

Tex: HER name, then just be done with it! I AM FAR WITH DONE WITH YOU, as a matter of fact I am about done with talking..

Tyde holds his hand up as he speaks.

Tyde: Tex, that darkness in you that rage I like it.. If you would have brought that demon you might be able to hang but you’re scared of him, your HORROR terrifies you. Still until your ready to embrace that I am past you, I am challenging for the Global Title!

Tex: The Hell you are! Maybe I am challenging for the title!

Tex is cut off as the lights dim. Cameras flash toward the entrance area as # KINGDOM # hits the sound system and the crowd gets on their feet. Tex looks frustrated as the King of Extreme and ECE World Heavyweight Champion Crush emerges from the backstage area along with Jessica Huttman. The crowd is cheering and singing along with his song as he removes his Championship and raises it high in the air as pyro shoots off behind him. Crush puts the title over his shoulder as he walks down the ramp wearing his “Dynasty” T Shirt. Tex looks confused as Crush walks up the steel steps before he is handed a microphone.

Crush: Who the hell made you the number one contender? The way I see it, I never lost to my brother. I let my feelings get the better of me and it ended in a no contest. But I will be damned If I just stand around in the backstage area while you two jackasses claim a spot that belongs to ME.

The crowd erupts as Crush continues to speak

Crush: I am tired of this bullshit.. Ever since I arrived in IIW, I have had one goal and that is to be World Champion and I Have come so close on multiple occasions. The time for me waiting around is over.  I am done with my brother and now I have one singular focus and that is to become the IIW Global Champion and I don’t give a rat’s ass if I gotta take both of you out to do it.

Crush is interrupted as Hero blares on the PA system and out walks The Destroyer, the Innovator, The Master of the Revelation PG-13 along with his agent, Michael Hill. PG-13 does not look to be in a pleasant mood as he walks down the ramp staring at an angry Crush. PG already has a mic in his hand as he hops on the apron looking at the three men in the ring.

PG-13: Done? With ME?! You must have lost your damn mind, brother. We’re not done until I say we’re done.

The crowd boos as PG speaks again

PG-13: What happened last week on Combat and what happened a few days later at Leap of Faith were just small doses of the beatings you have comin to you, Aaron. You’ve done this every where we’ve been. From CHCW to UHW to ESCW to ECE. You’ve always used your influence and your connections to keep me from getting to or staying at the top. Well that shit ENDS now.

PG-13 starts to speak when Crush cuts him off

Crush: You’re saying I held you back, Mike? Brother, the only reason you didn’t get to or stay at the top in any of those other places is simply because you were never better than me. That’s what this whole thing is about. You know you’ve never been as good as me and it KILLS YOU. When I disposed of you inside Hell in a Cell to regain MY ECE Championship, I said that was it. So now your solution is to get in my business in IIW. The three letters of the company may change, Mike. The one thing that remains the same is that I will always be better than you.

PG-13: You say that, Aaron, and yet I am 2-0 against you in IIW. Including when I won that ECE Championship. In IIW it’s a clean slate, Aaron. There’s no Enterprise. No Dynasty. No bullshit. Just you and me and you know deep down in your heart, if all things were equal, you can’t beat me.

Crush: If all things were equal? You kidnapped MY Wife, YOUR Sister in law, to gain an advantage in our title match. Then, you won that ladder match after your Enterprise goons got let in the building by Osh to screw me out of the title. So spare me the all things were equal shit. I have maintained my dominance DESPITE you throwing everything you have against me.

PG-13: Well there’s no Enterprise here tonight. There’s no Dynasty.. It’s just you and me. So what’s stopping you now?

Crush: You wanna finish this now? Because I’m tired of you always getting in my business. So I realize if I want that Global Championship, I’m gonna need to get rid of my brother to do it.

Crush throws the mic to the side as he starts to take off his shirt as PG-13 drops his mic on the floor as if he’s ready to go. Before anything else happens ‘War Pigs’ by Black Sabbath is heard and it draws the attention of the four men in the ring. A few seconds later Kalvin Dayspring emerges from the back with a microphone in hand.

Kalvin: Ok everyone let’s dial it back a few notches. I have spent the last month having to pay the security double from all the brawls they have had to break up. Your all right though, we do need some one for Caleb to face on Theater of War. TJ Alexander has had his shot, and all four of you have legit claims to getting a shot at the title. But there can only be one….

He pauses for a second as it seems like he has a thought.

Kalvin: OR maybe two, that actually sounds good. I think the main event of Theater of War will be a Triple Threat match! Still there are four of you in the ring, so how do we decided which two?

He looks to the fans as they begin to cheer and shout out ideas. As he plays to the crowd you can see all four men in the ring looking frustrated finally he speaks agian.

Kalvin: Ok so I heard a few good ideas, I think tonight in our MAIN EVENT we will have a good old fashioned tag team match, the winning team will go to Theater of War and compete for the Global title…

He pauses again and large smile comes across his face.

Kalvin: As far as teams go, let’s make it interesting. You see I am kind of sick of you guys not being able to get along, so for at LEAST one night. If you want that title shot you will have to get along with some one you hate. PG-13 and Crush will be one team, and Tex will team with Tyde! Let’s see which group can focus on the title over their own personal grudge.

The crowd erupts in cheers as ‘War Pigs’ blast over the PA and Dayspring makes his exit leaving the four men in the ring confused and annoyed at the idea of teaming with their rivals. The scene fades as a video package begins to play.

Coming Soon…

(featuring Xavier Lux)

The big screen comes on showing the Ice Crown Rumble logo as someone’s voice is heard throughout the arena.

“At The Ice Crown Rumble, you met ‘The Man with Venom in His Veins…”

The logo fades as a video package begins to play, showing the specially-made arena where the rumble took place. The rumble is in progress and the countdown begins, as the next participant is about to come… The lights in the building start to flicker, matching the opening riffs and drums of Disturbed’s ‘The Infection’ which startles the crowd because of the song’s fast start. They get to their feet just as a brief pyro explosion goes off in the entrance and as lyrics of the song begin, “Venom” Xavier Lux steps out from behind the smoke left by the pyro. He makes his way down the ramp and slides into the ring.

Mike Fisher: Former OCW World Heavyweight Champion and member of the CCPE  Xavier Lux is making his IIW in-ring debut tonight.

Scott James: He’s a big name from the outside but let’s see how he does in IIW.

The package then cuts to Xavier eliminating opponent after opponent…

Latoya Hixx comes running towards Lux but he ducks and uses her momentum against her to throw her out of the ring and out to the floor.

Pequeno Dinosaurio bounces off the ropes and rushes toward him looking for a 619 but as he goes outside the ropes Xavier Lux moves out the way and knocks his shoulder into Pequeno Dinosaurio’s gut and then yanks his head down off the rope and Pequeno Dinosaurio falls backward out of the ring and down to the floor.

Xavier Lux scoops Terry Marshall up on his shoulders and hits an F-5 in the middle of the ring and Marshall lays flat on his back lifeless. Xavier now picks Marshall up and throws him over the top rope with all his might.

Xavier stands there taunting Terry Marshall as the video fades to black and the voice returns…

“In two weeks, at the Theater of War pay-per-view, he returns…”

A video package no one has seen before begins to play.

As the video ends, the voice speaks one last time…

“… and he is here to stay.”

As the video package ends we are back in the ring with Charity preparing to introduce the next match.

Charity: The next match is one fall, first coming to the ring Eden!!

Eden walks out to her music slowly as she looks around in disgust. As she gets by the steel steps, she stomps with one foot before climbing them and getting inside the ring. Inside the ring she falls on her knees and spreads her arms yelling “ALL HAIL CYRUS!”

Higgins: Eden is such a scary woman but so is Shante’ so this match should be good.

Glass: Nope, I think that finally someone has Shante’s number and her name is Eden.

Charity: Next her opponent for the night, representing The Nightmare Court, Shante’ Waverly!

Mutiny by Neoni hits and we see Shante’ make her way to the ring as the ref calls for the bell.

***Ding, Ding***

As the two women are now in the ring, we see the two women lock up and it is not long before Eden gets the advantage and hits Shante’ with a clothesline sending her down to the ground. She quickly follows up by picking Shante’ up and power bombing her.

Higgins: Ouch that hurt me and I am way over here.

Glass: I think I like this woman, Higgins. Her and Cyrus are naturals in the ring in case you can’t tell it.

Shante slowly gets to her feet and mounts a little bit of momentum as she quickly irish whips Eden and attemps for a scoop slam, but Eden is just too masterful of a woman and Shante’ struggles as she begins to hit Eden with a flurry of closed fist punches. The crowd is really into the match as there are a mixture of cheers and boos but Eden seems to be using it to her advantage as she blocks one of Shante’s closed fist punches and hits a northern lights suplex on Shante and goes for the cover but Shante’ kicks out before the ref can get past a count of one!

Higgins: A lot of fight in both of these women.

Glass: A very true statement but at the end of the day only one of them can be crowned the winner of the match.

We see Eden has become a little distaught perhaps wanting the match to end quickly but none the less she grabs Shante up and it looks like Eden is about to attempt a roundhouse kick but Shante blocks it with her hands and hits Eden with a backhanded elbow finally knocking Eden off of balance and into the corner turnbuckle. The crowd boos Shante’ but she is not letting that stop her.

Shante climbs up on the turnbuckle and begins to punch Eden directly in the face but the pure power of Eden comes through as she grabs Shante and slings her into the middle of the ring with a big throw. Shante’s head bounces back and Eden gives the signal for Jezebel’s Kiss as she picks Shante’ up but Shante reverses out of it and crawls out of the ring as the ref begins to count.

Higgins: I don’t know if that was a smart move by Shante’ or not but at least it seems to have bought her some time.

Glass: Time is nothing when you know the person that you are fighting against is winning.

Shante’ has now made her way back into the ring and she quickly grabs Eden by the leg forcing Eden to fall down and Shante’ quickly attempts to lock in The Snap, Crackle, and Cackle but Eden pushes Shante off of her and both women stand to their feet.

Higgins: If looks could kill..

Glass: ..we’d all be dead, we know we know!

Back in the ring Shante has gotten the advantage over Eden as she begins to stomp on Eden’s arm and work the heel of her boot up against Eden’s shoulder. We can hear Eden wrench out in pain as finally it appears as Shante’ has worked Eden’s arm over and over again. She begins to yell into Eden’s ear before finally turning it and biting it before backing away.

Higgins: Geez, I loose a little bit of my skin every time that she does that.

Glass: There are no limits to what they will do around here on Combat it seems!

Shante’ seems to have a bit more of an aggression as Eden has now grabbed ahold of her own ear and stands up as Shante’ catches Eden with the Witch’s Brew, and goes for the cover.

.1,

..2,

…3!

***Ding, Ding***

Charity Langston: Your winner via pin fall, Shante Waverly!

Est. 1808

(featuring Sebastian Hamilton & Cyrus Youngblood)

As Shante celebrates and Eden rolls out we can see her husband Cyrus Youngblood walking from the back to help his wife. From behind him, a fan dressed head to toe in black jeans and black roll neck sweater and wearing an Iron Wolf mask is trying to goad and bait him with comments. Cyrus pauses him and begins to argue with the fan.

Glass: That fan, he’s really getting to Cyrus Youngblood you can see it in his eyes.

Higgins: You can, he has almost reacted a couple of times! But he’s remained composed, for now…

For now is right, as the fan continues to talk shit to Cyrus Youngblood as he sips on his arena issued soft drink. Cyrus has had enough and as the fan is slowly peeling the lid of his cup, Youngblood turns and gets in his face. Suddenly the fan throws the drink straight into the eyes of Cyrus Youngblood and as he stumbles back, the fan hops onto the guardrail and flies off with a forearm!

Higgins: This fan has just jumped the rail and attacked our IIW Uprising Champion!! Get security!

Glass: Wait, that’s not just any ordinary fan, Alex! That’s…

The fan rips off the Iron Wolf mask to reveal…

Higgins: IT’S SEBASTIAN HAMILTON! Cyrus’ opponent for the IIW Uprising Championship, at Theatre of War in two weeks time! And now he’s putting the boots into Cyrus Youngblood here!

Hamilton starts to bring Youngblood up by his head but the Uprising Champ gets a few shots of his own in, he jabs Sebastian a couple of times in the midsection before head-butting him. Cyrus sets Hamilton up grabbing him by the arm, going for an Irish whip, but Sebastian Hamilton reverses it and sends Cyrus Youngblood into the steel steps!

Sebastian: That belt is mine, Cyrus… Remember that!

Hamilton pulls Youngblood up and grabs his head, nailing him with the “Established 1808” (Inverted DDT) onto the floor outside the ring! He then hops the guardrail as security comes down the aisle. He points to his eyes then at Cyrus Youngblood as the security help him to his feet…

Byrd’s Eye View

(featuring TJ Alexander)

Higgins: Well ladies and gentlemen we are proud to let you know that not only is Jason Byrd our keen eyed expert in all things wrestling back with us this week but he is going to continue his ever entertaining Byrd’s Eye View Segment.

Glass: Jason suffered some pretty serious injuries after that vicious attack by Sean Raines about a month ago, but he is cleared to be out here and promises to have an incredible, non violent, guest for the evening so let’s get to the ring and see what he has for us!

The view switches to the ring as the spotlight illuminates the center where we see a podium had been positioned. Behind the podium is Jason Byrd, he is wearing a neck brace and has his right arm in a sling. His left arm is holding onto a walking stick as he leads forward and speaks into the microphone.

Byrd: Men and Women of Columbia, your iron warrior or wit has endured the uncalled for attack of the simpleton that he falsely believed to be house broken. Once again proving that this job is not for the weak of heart, that it is not anyone can be as brave, or insightful as me. Today I strive to continue my tradition of heroics as I share with you a small drink from my well of knowledge, just a taste of my infinite wisdom of the wrestling world, that is right I fly you high above the clouds and give you a Byrd’s Eye View of our Industry.

The fans let out a cheer as he pauses a moment and takes a sip from a glass of water on the podium.

Byrd: My guest tonight, the man whose head we will invade, who will answer the hard questions and tell us of not just his triumphs but his failings as well, he is The Game Changer, and our FNC Television Champion, TJ Alexander!!!

‘The Touch’ by Stan Bush blasts over the PA and is almost automatically drowned out by the cheers for the fans. The pyro explodes for a few seconds before we can see TJ in the smoke once it clears. His Television Title strapped around his waist as he gives a few high gives ringside before he makes his way to the ring. Once in he gives Byrd an odd look before his music dies and Jason Speaks.

Byrd:  Wel..

The fans quickly drown him out with the chant ‘TJ, TJ, TJ, TJ’ . He turns and looks waiting for them to get just a little quieter but eventually he speaks.

Byrd: Ok guys we are on a time limit, I got to get this show on the road!

The fans stop the chant but continue to cheer as Byrd speaks again.

Byrd: TJ ALEXANDER! Our New Television Champion! Tell us how it feels?!

TJ: This past weakened has been a rollercoster for me, from bell-to-bell it’s been gruelling, and torture on the mind and body, but how’d I feel getting the Television championship back? fantastic. Everyone knows even if they don’t want to admit it, I should never have lost it in the beginning.

Byrd: Now it was a little bittersweet on Ground Zero as you didn’t manage to get all the gold as the Global title slipped through your fingers at the end of the night, what are your thoughts on that?

TJ: Yeah bittersweet isn’t the word I’d use, but all I can really say is I will be back in the hunt for the Global championship again sooner or later.

Byrd: Well that Television title is a very coveted prize here on Combat, now that you have freed it from Caleb’s Scott’s grasp you have the burden of defending it. Later tonight two brutal competitors The Silence and Andre Cash battle for a chance at your newly won title. Any preference on who wins? Got a message for the winner?

TJ: Ya’ know what, I honestly don’t have a preference, I’ve seen a little more about Andre Cash, who has every tool in his arsenal, and sorry to say, very little about The Silence. But either way, and whoever does get that chance, MY TV title isn’t going anywhere anytime soon.

The fans let out a large ‘T J, T J, T J’ chant as his music blasts over the PA and he makes his exit, the view is returned to ringside with Alex Higgins and Arthur Glass.

Higgins: So much, so much is happening tonight and we have barely gotten time to address any of it.

Glass: yes those confident remarks from our new Television Champion, the big main event tonight that forces people who hate each other to team up to determine the number one CONTENDERS for the global title. The video package we got for the RETURN of Xavier Lux.

Higgins: Sebastian Hamilton’s strong words then his attack on the Uprising Champion not to mention some stellar in ring action from our women’s division and the debuting Gavin Chambers and we are only at the half way mark tonight.

Glass: Up next however is a big return match for John Tolly as he is set to face the always entertaining El Landerson and honestly I am excited to see Tolly back in action.

Higgins: Me too lets get to the ring and keep this show on track!

Charity Langston: Ladies and Gentlemen! This next bout is scheduled for one fall. The first contender making his way to the ring, El Landerson.

Booyka 619 hits the arena speakers as El Landerson walks out onto the stage. Landerson bends down, taking a knee and a momentary prayer. After a moment Landerson stands once again and points out into the crowd as his stage pyro erupts, Landerson moves to the opposite side of the stage and continues his pre-match ritual. Making his way down the ramp towards the ring, Landerson stops to high five his fans, trying his best to make sure he gets to as many of them as possible. Stopping at one particular younger fan, Landerson pulls off his luchador mask and places it onto the child’s head. Finally turning towards the ring and hops up onto the turnbuckle and poses with both index fingers in mid air. After getting down he makes his way to the opposite turnbuckle and does the same thing two fingers in the air. Getting down he turns his back towards the turnbuckle and faces the ramp, awaiting his opponent.

Arthur Glass: El Landerson seems energized and ready for this one! He is coming off a rough couple of weeks but he is looking to approach a new start with this one on one bout against The Franchise John Tolly.

Charity Langston: And his opponent, now making his way to the ring….from Champaign Illinois, The Franchise John Tolly!

Blind hits the loud speakers as John Tolly walks out onto the stage. The live crowd erupts as Tolly looks around. Taking the time to twist his head in order to crack his neck, he begins to make his way down to ringside. After crawling up onto the ring, Tolly poses for a second on the turn buckle before hoping in the ring.

Alex Higgins: I don’t know Arthur, John Tolly seems pretty focused himself here tonight. With such a big fight coming up in only a couple of weeks, he must be prepared for whatever is thrown at him tonight.

Arthur Glass: As long as he can stay focused. This ongoing feud with Sean Raines has to be playing constantly in the back of his head. I mean, how would it not?

Alex Higgins: Well the truth Arthur is, I wouldn’t blame John Tolly if he wasn’t slightly preoccupied by the thoughts of this upcoming Pay Per View match.

Arthur Glass: Well he better pull his head out of the clouds. El Landerson is not one to be taken lightly. Although the smaller of the two, Landerson makes up for in in technique and spirit.

Alex Higgins: Spirit doesn’t win matches.

Arthur Glass: No it definitely does not. But speaking of which, both men are now in the ring, why are we not ringing the bell to get this thing started?

Alex Higgins: I am not 100% sure, but from my count there are only two men in that ring. Are we still waiting on a referee? What the hell is this? Someone dropped the ball here, we a crew of referees, can we get one out here please.

Dayspring is suddenly seen running down the ramp towards ringside. Stopping at ringside he starts a back and forth conversation with Charity Langston who is now leaning between the top and middle ropes to hear him. The two seem to be discussing something, as Dayspring seems furious, and Charity seems very confused.

Charity Langston stands up once again. With a confused look on her face, she picks up the mic to speak.

Charity Langston: Ladies and Gentlemen. I has been brought to my attention that all IIW referees are….(Charity looks over at Dayspring before continuing)…all referees are currently unavailable. (spoken with a confused look on her face) Kal Dayspring, in order to continue on tonight’s card, has ) requested for someone to act as special guest referee. So, without further delay (Charity looks over at Dayspring again, who just returns a defeated shrug) Please join me in welcoming the special guest volunteer to act as referee.

Fire It Up blasts over the speakers as the crowd goes absolutely wild. Sean Raines steps out onto the stage, wearing black boots, jeans and a striped referee shirt.

John Tolly looks in shock as he stares down Sean Raines, making his way down to ringside. Tolly is obviously frustrated with how Sean Raines has managed to once again fuck with his mental state leading into the upcoming Pay Per View.

Arthur Glass: You have to be fucking kidding me! John Tolly is obviously upset at this situation, and with great purpose. Sean Raines has a well-documented history of basically doing whatever he pleases. We all expect for him to get involved in this match, in some form or another. I just don’t think any of us saw this coming. How the hell did he manage to pull this off?

Raines makes his way to the ring, walking with intent and a cold stare towards a rightfully angry John Tolly. Raines with a trademark smirk on his face, steps through the ropes and into the ring. As Raines leans back into a corner, John Tolly can’t help himself but to start running his mouth at Raines. Raines’ only reaction is a slight smirk and a shrug. Raines calls for the bell, and the match gets under way.

***Ding, Ding***

John Tolly still not trusting what Sean Raines is up to, keeps an eye on him as he and Landerson start to circle the ring to square off. El Landerson and John Tolly lock up. Tolly the stronger of the two has an easy time overpowering the smaller Landerson, pushing him back tumbling to the apron. El Landerson is quick to pop back up to his feel, to continue the match. The two lock up one more time, but this time El Landerson is quick thinking and drives a kick deep into the stomach of John Tolly. As Toll backs off due to losing his balance Landerson throws a quick series of punches, pushing Tolly back once again. Tolly with a return of a massive right hand before turning the intensity up to eleven and running on pure frustration and anger forces the assault towards Landerson, punch after punch taking his opponent down to the mat. As El Landerson falls, Tolly quickly jumps on him and continues the flurry of punches until he is standing over Landerson swinging away with what seems like an endless amount of energy and fury. Tolly, finally stops throwing punches, and stands. Taking a moment to breathe before picking Landerson up by his pants and mask, swinging hm around and throwing him shoulder first between the top and bottom rope directly into the steel ring post. A sickening thud can be heard echo through the building as the bones of Landerson’s shoulder, bounces back off of the unforgiving steel post.

Alex Higgins: If Sean Raines’ plan here was to get into the head of John Tolly, than I do believe he has succeeded.

Arthur Glass: Unfortunatly for El Landerson, that means everything is being directed at him.

Alex Higgins: El Landerson is no stranger to Sean Raines either. These two have met as part of a Triple Threat just over a year ago, where he felt the wrath of Sean Raines.

Arthur Glass: Landerson needs to do something here, of Tolly may just break him in two!

Tolly makes his way over to El Landerson, now lying motionless on the ring mat. Tolly pulls him onto his back and goes for the easy pin on the motionless Landerson. Tolly waits for the count, he nods along as the crowd starts to count.

Tolly looks up in anger, Raines refusing to count. As Tolly looks around the ring to find the special guest referee, he notices Raines in the opposite corner of the ring. Raines has pulled himself up on top of the turnbuckle, he sits there watching and laughing at the building anger within John Tolly.

Alex Higgins: I do believe Raines is getting into the head of John Tolly, just like he wanted to.

Tolly climbs up to his knees, throwing his hands up in a what the fuck type of motion. Raines returns the gesture with a facetious grin, followed up by flipping up his middle finger.

An enraged Tolly jumps up to his feet and runs directly at Sean Raines. But Raines is smart enough to get his arm out to stop the advance of John Tolly. As Raines holds Tolly back at a distance the audience can see him saying something, completely inaudible, Raines simply grabs a handful of his refs shirt and waves it at John Tolly showing the authority he was given over this match. With John Tolly distracted, El Landerson takes advantage, grabbing Tolly by the trunks and pulling him backwards into a small package pin. Raines quickly drops for the count.

Arthur Glass: Raines with a standard count, maybe he isn’t trying to screw Tolly out of the win here.

Alex Higgins: I think it is more about fucking with Tolly’s head rather than trying to cost him the match.

Tolly back to his feet quickly after the two count. Both men lock up to once again gain control of this one. This time Tolly with the gut kick, followed up by a right hand. Tolly with the whip, and Landerson sent crashing into the corner. But Tolly quickly follows up with a running clothesline.

John Tolly picking Landerson off the mat, a quick hook of the arm around his neck and a snap suplex. El Landerson now rolling around the apron in pain, and Tolly momentarily turns to lock eyes once again with Sean Raines. Tolly quickly turns back to El Landerson, dropping a knee down onto the side of his leg. Tolly once again on the attack, this time throwing a couple of punches before picking Landerson back up to his feet. El Landerson with an elbow out of nowhere, a few steps back to bounce off the rope and taking Tolly down with a crossbody. El Landerson, jumps back to his feet and nails Tolly with a dropkick, directly in the face as he tries to get back to his feet. Landerson with some speed, jumps up and bounces sitting down off the top rope and comes crashing down with a leg drop onto John Tolly. El Landerson for the cover.

Thr…

A narrow escape for John Tolly, but he rolls out of the ring to try and catch his senses. Tolly stumbles around outside of the ring not really paying attention, just trying to sort out how he was taken down. Out of nowhere! El Landerson can be seen flying over the top rope and crashing down on Tolly as the two men crash to the concrete arena floor.

Both men are down and hurt. El Landerson appears to have landed awkwardly on his knee and is favoring it as he uses the steel barricade to try and stand again. John Tolly, completely winded from the crash, trying to get back to his feet, a fist full of ring apron as leverage.

Landerson starts to circle the ring, looking for Tolly. But Tolly has taken a knee, and lays in wait. As Landerson makes his way around one corner of the ring, Tolly strikes. Huge clothesline, sending El Landerson spinning in mid air and landing headfirst down again on the arena floor.

Arthur Glass: Holy Shit!

Alex Higgins: I think John Tolly tried to take his off with that one!

Arthur Glass: I really don’t feel bad for Sean Raines, all this anger being built up by John Tolly is going to be forwarded on come time for Theater of War.

Tolly turns his attention back into the ring at Sean Raines, who for some reason is not even attempting to count the two me out.

Tolly pointing at Raines

Tolly: You’re next! You a fucking next!

Raines only returns another smirk.

Tolly turns his attention back at Landerson, pulling him up by his mask and hammering his with a huge right fist directly to the face. Tolly, rolling El Landerson into the ring, throws on knee up onto the apron and pulls himself in. Stepping under the top rope he once again picking his opponent up by the mask. Tolly, momentarily holding El Landerson is what appears to be a DDT like hold looks like he is going to go for the Champaign Dream. But no, picking Landerson up, into a complete vertical suplex before slamming him down in a vertical drop brain buster. Landerson goes into auto pilot as Tolly backs up a few steps and slams him with a shinning wizard.

Alex Higgins: Hail to the Orange, Hail to the Blue! That has to mark the end of El Landerson here tonight.

Tolly once again goes for the cover. Raines drops for the count.

Raines sits up to his knees. “Shit! Where was I? 1? 2? No couldn’t have been.”

Once again attempts the pin.

Landerson musters up the strength out of the bottom of his boots toroll to one side and get a shoulder up, but he is in no condition to stand.

Tolly back to his feet and he is furious! Tolly has had enough, he turns towards the enterance ramp and starts yelling for a new referee..

Raines stands in the corner laughing which draws the attention of John Tolly. As he makes contact with Sean Raines once again Raines can be heard slightly by the ring team.

Raines: They ain’t coming Tolly!

Raines continues to laugh as he points up towards the screen. Tolly follows the lead and diverts his attention towards the screen as well. There for the entire arena to see is shown a backstage hallway. A crew f people try frantically to try and move a forklift that seems to have been parked in front of a locker room door, a thick chain wrapped around both the forklift and the door handle.

Dayspring: Someone find us a battery so we can move this fucking thing! And get some bolt cutters! He fucking locked them and barricaded them in!

The attention flips back to Raines and Tolly in the ring, Tolly now realizing why Dayspring was so angry when Raines came out as special guest referee. Raines continues laughing as a visually irate John Tolly grits his teeth and turns back to his attack on Landerson. Picking El Landerson up, John Tolly whips him with all of his weight into the corner turnbuckle. Following that up with a running clothesline, and a quick kick to the gut. A series of punches delivered by Tolly, but if El Landerson doesn’t find a way to take some control, the live crowd knows that this match is on its way to being over. A defeated Landerson, only standing because he is holding himself up by the top rope. Tolly takes a running start to throw another huge knee to the gut of El Landerson. It may have been out of sheer desperation, but El Landerson pushes himself up onto the top rope and lifts his legs, sending Tolly crashing into the corner himself. El Landerson kicks Tolly in the face, as Tolly stumbles Landerson takes a jump and spins Tolly around with a hurricarana. Landerson with a few punches of his own, now standing backs off to take a run at Tolly. Tolly sees it coming, and before Landerson can get in any offense he receives an uppercut and a kick in the gut. Tolly locks down onto the head on El Landerson, driving him down and trying to put his head through the mat with the Champagne Dream.

El Landerson is out cold, John Tolly quickly goes for the cover. He waits, but no count starts. Tolly in the ever growing frustration sits back into a kneeling position and looks for Sean Raines.

Raines is seen standing at ringside, leaning on the barricade with beer in hand. He stands there chatting with a fan in the front row. Tolly rolls out of the ring and gets in the face of Sean Raines. The two men exchange words back and forth, but as John Tolly pushes Raines back he is met with a big elbow smash directly to the face. Raines takes the upper hand and rolls Tolly back into the ring where El Landerson is now waiting. Raines makes his way to the ring announcers table and grabs a chair, throwing it under the bottom rope and pointing towards Landerson.

It is obvious that Raines is instructing Landerson to use the chair on Tolly, but the true character of El Landerson is not that of that level. El Landerson just looks down at the chair and shakes his head before kicking it back out of the ring. Landerson does not want anything to do with winning that way.

The arena crowd start to go crazy as security and a new referee are seen running down the ramp. The referee;s locker room is now clear and the scheduled ref is taking over the match. Without seeing what was going on, Raines starts to climb up onto the ring apron, but is met by a flying dropkick from El Landerson sending him flying off of the ring apron.

Alex Higgins: At least we know where El Landerson stands on this topic. He wants nothing to do with Sean Raines or his mind games against John Tolly

Raines now angry about the drop kick makes an attempt to storm the ring once again to get to El Landerson but is met for his troubles by a baseball slide delivered by none other than John Tolly himself. Raines now sent flying after a second set of boots to the face. The blood starts to run out of his now busted face as the referee tries to get control of this match.

Security is escorting Raines back up the ramp and the two battered combatants once again turn to face each other. Tolly with the lock up, but Landerson with a kick. He gets out of the hold, and backs up bouncing off the rope. Tolly with the duck and dropping to the mat, Landerson with the jump and rebound off of the opposite rope. The drop from Landerson and slide underneath Tolly. The punch to the back of Tolly’s head, and a dropkick to the shines as Tolly turns around. Tolly drops and it looks like El Landerson is going to try to attempt the 619, but no Tolly catches Landerson under the chin, his own attempt at another Champagne Dream. El Landerson manages to get free from the hold, spinning back kick sending Tolly stumbling back. A drop toe hold sends Tolly face first into the second rope. With the moment of adrenaline El Landerson runs to the rope and grabs ahold spinning around!

619! El Landerson nails John Tolly, and Tolly goes flying!

El Landerson climbs to the top and with a high dive crashes down on the ribs of John Tolly with a frog splash. He attempts for the cover!

***Ding, Ding***

Charity Langston: And by pinfall, your winner EL LANDERSON!

As El Landerson celebrates his hard fought victory, John Tolly can not believe it! Kneeling in the ring he just stares up the ramp at Sean Raines still surrounded by security. Tolly can do nothing but just shake his head. He once again gets to his feet, walking to the corner and asking for a mic.

The Windy City Warrior

(featuring John Tolly & Sean Raines)

John Tolly: Raines! Raines one too many ti….

Raines standing with a mic in his hand, surrounded by the security quickly cuts off John Tolly.

Raines: John shut the fuck up! Listen you mouthy little bitch, the time has come for you to show the world that you can back up that fucking loud mouth of yours! You actually grew a pair and accepted a match with me for the next Pay Per View. And now finally the world can witness why I was the stronger member of Americas Most Hated. Why I didn’t want to carry your ass through the tag team division. Why you will never be anything but a shadow in the career of Sean Raines. A battle so perfectly designed it brings the two of us together for a battle in the state we were born. North and South of Illinois will be represented, a battle that has been needed for quite some time Tolly. And how fitting that you challenge me and we end up settling this thing in what will go down in the record books a the 2023 Windy City Riot. Best of three falls John, but the contract was a tough one wasn’t it? We both wanted this to be what we do. You wanted to test me against the technique, the technical side of this sport. Run me through what you feel I am incapable of doing. John, you have been fairly vocal about your lack of trust in my technical ability. But John, you need to go back and do a little research bud. I have shown my ability over and over again. That wasn’t what I was concerned with, now was it. No, everyone in this arena knows that just isn’t my style…

The fans are heard loudly chanting ‘Combat, Combat’ as he proceeeds.

Raines: I wanted something a little more violent. And you can go on and on, sounding like everyone else. Sean Raines is a one trick pony, Sean Raines can’t fight a technical match. The truth is asshole, Sean Raines just really likes to take his aggression out in a very violent manner. Sean Raines likes to watch the life force of his opponents break, as they lay there defeated and broken. Sean Raines…..likes to prove a fucking point. I believe I have done exactly what I said I was going to do, I have done exactly what I needed to. And time in and time out, I have taken that victory in a standard technical match. But….that’s fucking boring, like John Tolly’s career. I wanted this match to be anything goes. Falls count anywhere.

He pauses for a minute as he lets his words sink in before continuing.

Raines: So I know this put good Ol Dayspring in a bit of a predicament. Does he allow this thing to go down under my rules, or under yours? Do we do both? Will that leave room for arguing that one of us lost under conditions they did not want? Would that truly allow this thing to actually end? The answer was probably no. So Dayspring did what no one saw coming. He made this thing best two out of three falls.

The arena goes crazy, the energy in the building hits a new level. The Combat crowd know just what will be in store when these two go head to head.

Raines: What was decided was that we would do Falls Count Anywhere/No DQ. Second fall will be in your wheelhouse John, in a Technical Style Submission match.

The crowd again erupts in energy.

Raines: And finally if after beating the hell out of each other, and then forcing the other to give up and submit….if at that point we still do not have a winner, we will go toe to toe in an Ambulance Match. So basically Tolly, if we need to, the loser of this match is the one who is taken away in an ambulance. Seems fitting no?

Tolly picks up his mic,

Tolly: Oh and Sean, you don’t want to forget. If that is you in the back of that bus, then you sir will be voiding out your contract and IIW Combat will officially rid of SEAN RAINES! Do you have the stones to get this done Sean? I think not….See you in the Windy City Bitch…..”

Sean Raines drops his mic and turns to exit through the ramp once again, followed closely by the security team in place to prevent him from heading to the ring again.

Higgins: I just don’t know what to say, it’s not often I can honestly say I am at a lost for words but this is one of those times.

Glass: Raines is unbelievable and damn near unstoppable. John Tolly had better be prepared when he heads into Chicago because Raines is at a different level.

Higgins: The Windy City Riot is set to be an incredibly violent affair and I just hope everyone is able to walk out of it in one piece. Still with that in mind we do have more of the show tonight and next is a number one contenders match for the Television Title!

The view switches to the ring with Charity as she announces the next match of the evening.

Charity: Ladies and Gentlemen our next match is scheduled for one fall, and the winner will go on to Theater of War to challenge for the FNC Television Championship!

The fans let out a big cheer as she continues.

Charity: First coming to the ring, standing 6 foot 8 inches tall and weighing 280 pounds he is THE SILENCE!!

The massive figure of the Silence appears in the entrance ramp to only the sound of boos from the fans, with The Captain by his side he slowly marches down the ramp and gets into the ring.

Charity: His opponent, he is THE ALPHA of Combat, Andre Cash!!

Killer by Eminem hits the PA and the fans let out a reaction as Andre Cash is seen on the ramp. You can tell by the look on his face he is already pissed off as he power walks into the ring not waiting for the bell he slides under the bottom rope and goes directly on offense hitting a lou thez press and starting to pound the Silence with his fist. The Ref quickly signals to start the match.

***Ding, Ding***

Higgins: It would seem that Cash is still upset, rumor has it after his last to Raines on Ground Zero he trashed the locker room and roughed up a few officials.

Glass: Since the whole ordeal with Raines, Dayspring has been trying to take a harder approach and reel in the talent. If I understand it Cash received a hefty fine and threatened with suspension if he let something like that happen again.

Cash drags the Silence to his feet and starts to send a few knife edge chops into the big man’s chest, as he does however the seem to phase the Silence less and less. Eventually the Silence fires back with a few chops of his own before grabbing Cash and going for an Irish whip. The Silence then levels Cash down with a lariat, Silence then steps on the throat of Cash using the ropes as leverage to choke him. The ref counts to 5 before forcing the Silence to release the choke. The Silence drags him back to his feet and hooks him up for a vertical suplex. He lets Cash hang in the air a few seconds before sending him down hard with a brain buster.

Higgins: Despite Cash coming in really strong it seems like Silence is taking over the match.

Glass: Both these men are big, and have been extremely successful since they have come to Combat but neither have managed to win that important match yet to propel them into the title picture.

Silence sends a few stick kicks to the body of Cash before he picks him up to hit a piledriver and then does a quick pin.

.1,

.. Kick Out!

Silence proceeds to send a series of sharp elbows into the side of Cash head, as he does though you can see Cash cover up some, Silence reaches down but cash manages to grab him and lift him up in the air as he stands. Cash finally up on his feet now has the giant man on his shoulders. He lifts him and hits the K.D.D. (TKO) on the big man sending him hard to the ground. Cash jumps up and screams as the fans let out a big cheer. Cash bounces off the ropes and hit a knee drop. Cash goes to pick him up and places him in the Alpha Lock. The Silence struggles to keep him from locking it in but to no avail, You can see the pain in the Silence face as he fights to get free.

Higgins: The Alpha has that submission locked in tight this might be the end of the Silence!

Glass: The Silence is a monster, you can see in his face he isn’t done yet!

It seems like the Silence is able to shrug off the pain as he starts to over power Cash and drag him towards the ropes, he is able to drag the ropes and the ref goes to order Cash to break the count. Cash doesn’t listen however and continues to keep the hold locked in. The ref tries to pull the men apart but he isn’t strong enough so eventually he calls for the bell and several other refs begin to flood out of the back.

***Ding, Ding***

Glass: I think he just got DQed? What is he doing, Cash has lost it!

Higgins: There is Chaos in the ring as they try to pry the Silence Free from Cash’s grip!

Charity: Your winner and New number one contender to the TV title, THE SILENCE!!

Taming the Beast

(featuring Andre Cash)

When Cash hears this he drops Silence and turns to the refs, his face has a crazy look on it as he grabs the ref by the shirt and lifts him on his shoulder hitting the ‘Omega’ (Feast your eyes) on the ref, another comes to get him but he hits the Grid Iron (spear) on that ref. As he continues security begins to flood from the back with them is Kalvin Dayspring. As they get in and finally get some sort of control Kalvin speaks.

Dayspring: I have told you, I told you after Ground Zero. There will be order on Combat, since fining you didn’t work as of now you are SUSPENDED!

As he says it Cash loses it again and springs forward trying to get to Dayspring, knocking down over half a dozen security guards before he is able to be held back and escorted down the ramp and out the ring.

Higgins: Did he really just do that! Andre Cash is one of the biggest names we have and Dayspring just tossed him out!

Glass: he was out of control, The silence will go on to Theater of War to fight TJ Alexander and since Cash can’t keep his cool he will be sitting at home for who knows how long!

Higgins: Well lets cut to the back I think we have something going on there that needs our attention!

The Price of Sanity

(featuring Tex Attwater & Jack Tyde)

We cut to the back, in the locker room we see Tex strapping up his boots as he prepares for his upcoming main event match. The door to his room opens up and we see none other than Jack Tyde, Tex springs to his feet ready to fight but once again Tyde seems more interested in talking.

Tyde: Calm down Cowboy, let’s have a bit of a chat shall we matey.

Tex: I’m not talking to you..

You can see the anger in Tex as he grabs Tyde by the collar and slams him hard against the wall, through gritted teeth Tex speaks again.

Tex: you worried about a global title, you should be worried about me, about your welfare, about walking out after tonight, if you think for one moment I am planning to help you tonight. You wanted the Horror Tyde, YOU GOT THE HORROR!

Tyde: That anger, yes the Horror. That is someone I can relate too! That is someone I CAN WORK WITH.

Tex: WHY WOULD I EVER WORK WITH YOU TYDE.

Tyde: Maybe, we could help each other. Aren’t you tired of this struggle Tex? Maybe we can help each other out, maybe we can become good friends even.

Tex: What could you possibly give DO for me!

Tyde: What about Fiona Mercer..

Tex: I SAID STOP SAYING HER NAME

A woman’s voice is heard from off screen.

Woman: But, Tex, is that what you are going by now, Tex it’s me

Tex’s face goes flush and loses all color as his body begins to shake and he loosens his grip on Tyde.

Tex: No, no it can’t be…

The figure of a woman moves into the scene as Tex drops down to his knees, his face in shock and awe.

Tyde: So let’s talk…

The door is shut before anything else is heard as the view transitions to ringside with Higgins and Glass.

Theater of War

Higgins: What on earth did we just see?! Was there an alliance being cooked up?

Glass: I am not sure what we have seen but the Fiona name itself has totally broken Tex on several occasions if that figure is her, no telling what sort of strings Tyde can pull with him. This maybe terrible news for PG and Crush later tonight.

Higgins: True, that main event has incredible impact on the Main event for Theater of War so before we get to it lets take a little look at what our first pay per view event has to offer!

Glass: Well the Global Title will be on the line as Caleb Scott defends it in a triple threat against either PG-13 and Crush OR Tex Attwater and Jack Tyde!

Higgins: That as well as the match that promises to tear the house down as long time rivals Sean Raines and John Tolly comes head to head in their home town of Chicago, Illinois in the first ever Windy City Riot!

Glass: Both the Hardcore and Uprising title will be on the line as the Champions face each other when Sebastian Hamilton takes on Cyrus Youngblood in a winner takes all match.

Higgins: We have also been informed that Shante’ Waverly will face off against Latoya Hixx with the winner receiving a shot at the IIW Women’s Championship that is currently held by Mayhem star Beckett Marisol.

Glass: TJ Alexander will also be in action as he defends his TV title, along with the return of Xavier Lux to an IIW ring. It is promising to be an eventful night when our best Combatants clash at Theater of War!

Higgins: Well as exciting as all that is, tonight we have to figure out the final piece and see who will take on Caleb for the title! So lets get to the ring for our Main Event!

The view switches as we move to the ring with Charity Langston as she clears her throat and begins to announce the main event.

Charity: Ladies and Gentlemen it is time for our MAIN EVENT!

The crowd lets out a roaring cheer as she continues.

Charity: The following bout is a tag team match scheduled for one fall! The winning team will challenge for the FNC Global Championship at Theater of War in a triple threat match! First coming to the ring the team of Jack Tyde and Tex Attwater!

‘Hoist the Colors’ Epic Rock version begins to blast over the PA as the fans let out a chorus of boos as the lights dim and the fog is released we see Jack Tyde raise up from beneath the stage along with him is per normal Shante’ Waverly. The duo pause a second as they turn back towards the entrance and after a few seconds Tex Attwater comes out, his eyes look crazy, almost deranged as he stares at Tyde for a second before the too fist bump and head down towards the ramp.

Charity: Their opponent for the night, the team of PG-13 and Crush!!

‘Hero’ by Skillet blast over the PA as the pyro explodes before PG-13 is seen on the entrance ramp, he slowly makes his way down and jumps onto the ring apron as he pauses and looks back at the entrance ramp. As his music fades ‘Kingdom’ by downstrait blast over the PA and his brother Crush is seen. The two lock eyes as Crush makes his way towards the ring and have a few words as the ref checks the two teams and signals for the bell.

***Ding, Ding***

Higgins: Whatever happened backstage, whoever this mystery Fiona Mercer is, it seems to have completely changed Tex’s mindset and it looks very bad for the brother’s chances to come out with a win and cash their ticket to the main event at Theater of War.

Glass: Tyde has slowly been exerting some sort of mental control over Tex since before Ground Zero and you can look into his eyes, they look crazy! This isn’t the same cowboy that the fans have gone crazy for week in and week out. No this Tex is dangerous, and seems to be selling his soul to the devil!

Tex and PG start the match off as the fans can be heard chanting “Wake Up Tex, Wake Up Tex,” trying to get him to break free of whatever Tyde has seemingly done to him. You can even see Tyde on the turnbuckle playing to the crowd, shouting at them to shut up. Tex however isn’t phased as he takes a big swing PG, PG however manages to catch his arm and wrap it up pulling him closer and wrapping up his other arm before hitting a gorgeous belly to belly suplex sending Tex crashing hard to the mat. Tex however pops back up to his feet but is instantly met with a clothesline sending him back down.

Higgins: These are four big men in our match tonight. I expect we are going to see a bunch of hard hitting moves that are going to strain how well this ring is built, as we watch these massive collisions in the ring.

Glass: These are peak specimens of physical conditioning, all well over 6 foot tall and 200 pounds of muscle. Other than the fact that half of them are horrible people they are all extremely talented and this will be a hell of a fight!

PG goes to drag Tex up to his feet quickly lifting him in the air and hitting a standing powerslam before going for a pin.

.1,

. Kick Out!

He stands up and you can see Crush pounding the top turnbuckle and demanding to be tagged in. PG scoffs at him before pulling Tex back to his feet, this moment of distraction however allows Tex to grab PG by the trunks and pull him forward sending him headfirst into the top turnbuckle far away from his partner. Once Tex is on his feet he grabs PG as he staggers from the corner and hits a large biel on him sending him across the ring. Tex quickly bounces off the ropes to get a running start and as PG comes to his feet he is met by Tex’s big boot that sends him back down hard to the mat. Tex grabs PG by the arm and drags him to his corner as he picks him to his feet, twisting his arm and tagging in Tyde. Tyde sends an elbow into the top of PG’s arm before Tex releases and takes his spot in the corner. Tyde then hits an hard Irish whip on PG sending him right back into the corner with Tex. Tyde blatantly chokes PG in the corner before the ref intervenes and gives him the 5 count to release. He waits until four and the ref basically has to pull him off, while he has the ref’s attention however Tex chokes him from the outside of the ring. The fans let out a large ‘Boo’ when this happens.

Higgins: Well it seems the fans are not happy to see one of their favorites so easily siding with Tyde and using these underhanded tactics.

Glass: Well honestly at this point he is really only helping himself, him winning this match sends him to the main event for Theater of War as well so anything he can do to gain an advantage in this match is completely understandable if you ask me!

Tex releases the choke hold before the ref sees him and Tyde goes back on the attack. Tyde begins to stomp a mudhole into PG and as he does so TG goes down into a sitting position, once again the ref warns him and this time Tyde steps back a second. Once the ref moves out of the way Tyde strikes a ‘Captain Morgan’ pose on the chest of PG and gets a big chorus of boos from the fans. He then moves across the ring and gets a running start to hit a cannonball into the corner on top of PG. He had spent so much time taunting however PG manages to move out of the way and he crashes hard into the turnbuckle instead. PG starts to get up but as he does Tex heads in grabbing him from behind. PG is able however to send an elbow into the side of Tex head to break his grip, he then reaches behind him grabbing Tex and hitting a diamond cutter taking him down. Tex rolls out of the ring but by this time Tyde is up. You can see Crush in the corner screaming for a tag from his brother. Tyde is back to his feet and charges after PG, but PG is aware enough to hit him with a powerslam. PG quickly gets back to his feet and turns towards his brother and smiles, shouting at him ‘I DON’T NEED YOU!’

Glass: Looks like PG seems to think he can beat these two and earn the title shot all by himself! I hope he realizes he doesn’t get any bonus points for being stubborn and refusing to work with his brother, regardless of if he gets tagged in tonight, if they win Crush gets the same chance PG does!

Higgins: Yea he is trying to prove something but if Tex and Tyde are really on the same page like they appear he should worry more about winning this match!

PG drags up Tyde and positions him hitting a powerful pump handle slam and quickly hooking a leg for the pin afterwards.

.1,

.. Kick Out!

You can see a bit of frustration in PG’s face as he mounts Tyde and begins sending some big right hands into the side of Tyde’s face. After a few blows he lifts Tyde up and places him in position for a powerbomb, as he does however Tex is in and rushes at him with a lariat sending him back to the ground. The ref forces him back into his corner as Tyde pulls himself up to his feet. He props himself up on the ropes as he watches PG start to get to his knees, he doesn’t hesitate to rush forward and hit the ‘Walk the Plank’ (Curb Stomp) onto PG. He turns to the corner and flips Crush off which automatically sends him into the ring. As the ref goes to cut him off Tex quickly gets in, as Tyde irish whips PG the duo of Tyde and Tex hit the ‘Root of all Evil’ (Shatter Machine) and Tyde goes for the quick cover.

.1,

..2,

.. Crush is in to break up the pin before three, once again however being sent back to the corner.

Higgins: They just did the Root of all Evil! That is a Hamilton Establishment move!

Glass: Well Tyde is part of the Nightmare Court, we don’t exactly know what is up with Tex but he seems to be drinking the kool aid as well, so I guess they figured it was fair game!

Tyde reaches over and tags in Tex and the two team up to give a big hanging vertical suplex on PG sending him down to the ground hard. Tyde heads to his corner as Tex goes for the cover.

..1,

.. Once again Crush is back in to break up the count. Tex gets to his feet and grabs hold of PG’s legs as he shouts ‘Yee Haw’ but this time instead of the cheers the fans normally let out they begin to boo. This doesn’t stop him however as he hits the ‘Last Rodeo’ (big swing) on PG spinning him round and round. After about a half dozen rotations rush one again intervenes with a Clothesline, As he does PG flies in the direction of Crush’s corner, one back in the Corner rush is able to reach out and tag himself in.

Higgins: Finally Crush is in! This has been a handicap match up until now, with the much fresher man in this could totally change things in this match!

Glass: Maybe, but the team of Tex and Tyde are working together, if Crush and PG don’t do the same it will still be a handicap match!

Crush doesn’t waste any time charging forward and jumping in the air hitting a Superman punch on Tex sending him back to the ground causing him to roll out of the ring taking a bit of a breath. Tyde doesn’t hesitate in coming in as well but Crush rushes towards him hitting the ‘Bone Crusher’ (spear) the impact sends him flying out the ring as well and the fans erupt in a massive chant of ‘Crush, Crush’ as he stands tall alone in the ring.

Glass: Crush is a former champion in IIW and Current ECE World Champion and he is putting it all on display now that he is in the match and going at full steam!

As he celebrates Shante’ jumps on the ring apron grabbing the ref’s attention as Tex slides back in and hits a low blow on Crush from behind. This sends him doubling over in pain, by this time Shante’ is off the ring apron and the ref is back to the action. Tex lifts crush on his shoulders and hits the Widow maker on Crush and goes for a pin.

.1,

.. KICK OUT!

Tex goes to pick up Crush and hit an Irish whip but Crush reverses it bouncing off the ropes himself and nailing Tex with another ‘Bone Crusher’ once again the fans let out a loud pop. As he stands up and signals for ‘Extremely Devastating’ (jackhammer) he is close enough to the corner that PG reaches in and tags himself in. PG heads in towards Tex but Crush stops him, the two have a few brief words before they start to push each other.

Higgins: Here it goes, the best chance these two have had to win and they are throwing it away.

Glass: These two need to focus on getting to Theater of War where they can get paid to rip each others head’s off while trying to take the biggest prize in Combat away from Caleb Scott!

As they argue Tex is back to his feet, he stands up on wobbly legs but sees what is happening. He hits PG in the back with a large double axe handle blow sending him stumbling forward. Crush sees this however and gives Tex a big right hand to send him back wards as well. As he does PG turns around and grabs Tex lifting him up on his shoulders and hits the ‘Revelation ‘ (F-5) on Tex. As he does Tyde is back in the ring but Crush charges at him once again hitting him with a clothesline sending both Crush and Tyde over the top rope and to the outside of the ring. Inside the ring PG goes for the cover.

Charity: You winners, and number one contenders for the Global Championship PG-13 & Crush!!

The Gruesome Finale

(featuring Caleb Scott, Crush, & PG-13)

Suddenly the arena goes pitch black. After a few seconds, Caleb Scott’s music begins to play and a single beam of light from above the ring shines down to the stage revealing Caleb standing there. The Global Championship hanging on his shoulder and a mic in hand.

Higgins: There he is, the Global Champion. We knew he’d be making an appearance tonight.

Glass: He knows who he’ll be facing at Theater of War now.

Caleb’s music fades and is replaced with a wave of boos before he can speak. The spotlight continues to shine on Caleb and some of the lights come back on.

Caleb: So, it looks like at Theater of War I have the pleasure of finally taking out the both of you. If that’s what it takes to get me out of having to be in the middle of your family issues then I welcome our match at Theater of War.

PG-13 and Crush continue to look at Caleb while keeping an eye on each other.

Caleb: However, I don’t think a normal three way match is good enough for the clash we are going to have. A regular match just doesn’t seem worthy of this Global Championship match.

Caleb paces back and forth on the stage, adjusting the Global Championship on his shoulder.

Caleb: You see, I’m a man that revels in violence and brutality and I know that you two do too. Crush, they don’t call you the King of Extreme for nothing. So after putting some thought into it, I have decided that at Theater of War, Crush, PG-13 and myself will be doing battle in a barbed wire cage match, with weapons hanging from the ceiling it will be a truly Gruesome Finale!

The crowd erupts in excitement at what they just heard.

Higgins: Oh my god, did you hear that? Not only will these three men be trapped together in a cage but a barbed wire cage.

Glass: This is going to be brutal. All three of these men will be pushed to the limit and the winner will have truly earned that Global Championship.

Caleb, still standing on the stage, waits for the crowd to settle down before speaking again.

Caleb: So, get your affairs in order. At Theater of War, there will be nowhere to run and nothing you can do. The last thing you both will feel is pain and the last thing you will see is me bringing you two to your Final Resting Place.

The arena goes completely dark again and when the lights come back on, Caleb has vanished. The brothers are now alone in the ring staring at where Caleb made the announcement and then at each other, as the logo flashes and screen fades to black all we can hear is the fans chanting ‘Combat, Combat’ as the show goes off air.
